‘Oh No She Didn’t!’ Janet jackson Will NOT Issue Refunds After Canceling ‘Unbreakable’ Tour

Janet Jackson fans are enraged after she announced that she was canceling her tour and that no refunds will be given.

The singer said that she is planning for her family and needs to rest, per doctor’s orders, noting that fans should just stay tuned for the rescheduling of her tour.

This is the second cancellation and postponement of the tour. She did the same thing last year when she underwent an undisclosed surgery. Fans are not happy about her latest announcement, as they are being denied refunds on their Unbreakable Tour tickets. They have not been given a specific date as to when Janet Jackson will be back to finish the second leg of her tour.

In the announcement posted on Twitter, Janet Jackson said she thought it was important that her fans be the first to know about her decision. She said that she and her husband, 41-year-old Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana, are planning their family so she would have to “delay the tour.”

She added, “Please, if you can try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.”

It was unclear, however, if the 49-year-old Janet Jackson and her husband were looking to start their family via traditional methods or other technology-assisted means. Doctors said that the singer’s chances of conceiving a baby by natural means is less than four percent due to her age. The “BURNITUP!” singer said that all of the dates for the second leg of her tour have been rescheduled except for one in Lexington, Kentucky, as the venue for that specific concert has to be rescheduled due to renovations.

Many fans are unsure when the singer will be back, as she has said that they are immediately planning her conception. It is possible that the fans will have to wait for more than a year to see her back on stage. She did say, however, that she was excited to be performing again as she thanked her back-up dancers for being professional.

Ticketmaster reportedly sent emails to the ticketholders of the Unbreakable concert saying that until they get word of a cancellation of Janet Jackson’s concert tour, that it is being treated as postponed and rescheduled; therefore, there won’t be any refunds issued.

Also, a representative released a statement about the singer’s tour. The representative said, “Following Janet’s recent announcement, further details regarding the Unbreakable World Tour will be forthcoming. Fans should stay tuned to JanetJackson.com and LiveNation.com for the latest updates regarding the tour.”

Some fans took to Twitter to express their frustration. A fan with the Twitter handle @2blueeyes wrote, “She’s going to have me singing like #Rhianna… Miss Jackson betta have my money #JanetJackson #Unrefundable Tour @Ticketmaster.”

Another fan wrote that it was an “a**hole” move for Janet Jackson to announce such a sudden postponement. Another person said that it was bad business for the sister of the late King of Pop to not give rapid refunds to her fans.

Back in January, Janet Jackson shut down rumors claiming that the surgery she underwent last year was for cancer. She took to Twitter to say that fans should only believe what came out of her lips and that the rumors were untrue. At the time, she added, “My doctors have approved my concert as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be rescheduled. Thank you for your prayers and love.”
