Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha: ‘No Broken Hearts’ Lyrics Talk Monica Lewinsky ‘Going Down’ [Video]

The new “No Broken Hearts” video is certainly moving and shaking online. Uploaded to YouTube on April 7, the video that is an anthem to trying to drown one’s sorrows in champagne and dancing is gaining views. From 62,000 views to more than 78,000 views a short time later, “No Broken Hearts” is getting attention.

And with Bebe Rexha at the helm of “No Broken Hearts,” performing moves that might be seen in more private venues, Bebe’s collaboration with Nicki is heating up YouTube. With Minaj recently confessing on Ellen that she is not engaged to Meek Mill, as reported by E!, and that her rings were just from “a boy who likes” her with money, the “No Broken Hearts” theme song could be one that is close to Nicki’s own heart. However, Minaj did admit that if she gets a third ring from Mill, that will be her engagement ring. Nicki didn’t want to talk much about her relationship, because of the attention and negative press and emotions it could bring, so she chose to keep mum.

Minaj did think about returning to the days when she simply said she was single, even though she was in a 12-year relationship at the time. Minaj didn’t want to even speak about the subject in a gentle manner, preferring to keep her privacy on the subject matter.

The talking Nicki has done is apparent in her newest rhymes on the “No Broken Hearts” song.

Those who had never heard of Bleta “Bebe” Rexha prior to the 26-year-old’s “No Broken Hearts” song with Nicki are getting a good look at the Albanian American singer-songwriter. Even those who didn’t know it was Bebe singing “I wanna hear you calling my name/Like hey mama, hey mama” in “Hey Mama” by David Guetta now know who she is. And how could folks know — after all, as reported by GQ, Bebe wasn’t credited with singing those lines in the famous song.

Bebe is also known for appearing in “Take Me Home” by Cash Cash, and for her vocals in that infectious “Me, Myself & I” song — a duet with Rexha and G-Eazy.

It’s the lyrics of “No Broken Hearts” that brings to mind women hanging out together in the club, under the motto that there are plenty of fish in the sea. The lyrics speak of not crying in the club, but drowning sorrows in drinks in Miami.

“Hop on a plane don’t need no plans
Shining so hard like a Grammy
Forget all the players what they did
We gonna be buying the drinks, we gonna be buying the drinks
Line up the bottles, line up the models, we gonna forget everything”

Dancing off the pain of heartbreak is the name of the game in that video and song’s lyrics. When it comes to Nicki’s rap part, Minaj brings up the name of Monica Lewinsky, a woman who it seems will never live down her liaison with President Bill Clinton — and the Altoids and oral sex situation, as reported by the Starr Report from Kenneth Starr.

“Ay yo Bebe, anybody hatin’ need a pee pee
Sip a little Myx, pop pills till I’m sleepy
I’m the one that bust it open out in Waikiki
Pull up in the Ghost, I’m creepy
They don’t want beef, we proved it
N*****s better keep it on wax like a Q-tip
Keep his d*** wetter than the cruise ship
Flower than a tulip, flyer than your new b****
I do’s it, yup I’m up two zip
Girls is my sons I’m giving them milf teas
They be sweating me headbands and gym tees
Like bad knees on Dirk Nowitzki’s
It is going down like M. Lewinsky’s
Wrist freeze yep my wrist on pink skis
Ring finger be s******* on my pinky’s
Make em mad, aww man I got them hating bad
Blood clot money green like Jamaican flags”
