‘The Big Bang Theory’ Season 9, Episode 20: Koothrappali Baby Jitters And Secrets Revealed
Season after season, The Big Bang Theory only gets better and better. We are just a few episodes removed from the huge baby announcement by Big Bang Theory characters Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg), and another episode is already coming out in relation to the baby. Entitled, “The Big Bear Precipitation,” episode 20 of Big Bang Theory’s season 9 will largely involve Rajesh Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar) and his baby jitters, and some heavy secrets will be revealed.
Hollywood Hills, one of the biggest and most credible sources of leaks and spoilers on all things Hollywood, has already come out with what’s in store for Big Bang Theory fans in the upcoming episode next week.
According to the Big Bang Theory press releases that Hollywood Hills got a hold of, secrets will be revealed when Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki), Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons), and Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik) go on a weekend cabin trip. Whose secret will be revealed, and who will be doing the revealing in the upcoming episode of Big Bang Theory? Apparently, it’s Sheldon, yet again, who will be spilling the beans about Leonard’s dark secret. Will the secret affect Leonard and Penny or any of Leonard’s relationship with a Big Bang Theory character? Stay tuned to find out.
Back in Pasadena, Howard and Bernadette are dealing with issues of their own. With a baby on their way, their ever-clingy friend Koothrappali is on another crazy third wheel escapade. It is only natural for Koothrappali to be excited about the biggest step in Howard and Bernadette’s life, which is Bernadette’s upcoming baby, but it seems that Koothrappali is overstaying his welcome once again. Koothrappali goes overboard with pregnancy and baby gifts, and Howard and Bernadette decide that they will have to draw the line.

Yahoo! reported that the baby detail in Big Bang Theory’s Valentine’s Day episode came as a last-minute addition to the script. The Big Bang Theory executive producer Steve Molaro tells ET Online all about it.
“We were writing that Valentine’s Day episode and there was no baby in the outline. There were four or five of us in the writers’ room on a Saturday afternoon and we were at the end and just thinking of ways to finish the episode. I just said, ‘I don’t even know why I’m pitching this, but what if Bernadette says to the rabbit, ‘I’ll find another time to tell him I’m pregnant.’ A quiet fell over the room and then several writers were like, ‘Oh my god, can we do it please?! That’s so amazing!’ And I said, ‘Screw it, let’s do it. Type it! Have her say it.’ And that was it.”
The idea then passed the approval of Big Bang Theory head honcho Chuck Lorre, and the baby was on its way.
When Yahoo! asked Kaley Cuoco if she was excited about the baby coming to the Big Bang Theory story line, she was quick to answer “no.” But upon realizing that they could be twins, she realized that it could be quite fun to have two baby Wolowitzes crawling around the comic book store.
A huge leap in the Big Bang Theory story line, the addition of the Wolowitz baby is sure to cause more trouble and laughter for the Big Bang Theory gang.
Episode 20 of Big Bang Theory’s season 9 was written by Chuck Lorre, Dave Goetsch, and Tara Hernandez, and the teleplay was by Steven Molaro, Steve Holland, and Jim Reynolds. It is scheduled to air on Thursday, April 7, at 7 p.m. on CBS.
