Spice Girls Members Want ‘Just One More Concert’ At London’s Wembley Stadium

Spice Girls fans have been wishing and hoping for a reunion for decades, and now it looks like their dreams are about to come true. Even Rylan Clark-Neal, the host of the new Channel 5 chat show, says he has plans to make a Spice Girls reunion happen, according to Metro.

Spice Girls may have broken up at the end of the last century, but it doesn’t mean Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm, and Geri Halliwell don’t have plans for a reunion. In fact, the chances are pretty high that the reunion could happen this year.

Clark-Neal revealed in an interview that his goal as the host of a new show by Channel 5 is to make a Spice Girls reunion happen. He said he has big plans to get all of the Spice Girls together in one room and then make them perform live.

But although the Spice Girls have said on many occasions that a reunion is very unlikely, and although the host has no influence over which guests to get on his show, he is still hoping.

“I’ve heard from a couple of friends that things are happening but I’m keeping myself out of the situation until it’s time to do it… It’s where Graham Norton started – it’s something that Channel 5’s not done before 1999.”

However, Clark-Neal is not the only one who has mentioned a possible Spice Girls reunion recently. Former Spice Girls singer Emma Bunton revealed in her recent interview with the Daily Telegraph that the girls would love to do just one more concert at London’s Wembley Stadium, as reported by Newsweek.

The special reunion concert would mark the 20th anniversary of Spice Girls’ debut single “Wannabe.”

“Wembley is something we’d really love to do. We adore each other. There’s so much we’ve been through. I would love to do something.”

Bunton also said a Spice Girls reunion would have already happened if each member of the best-selling British band wasn’t so busy with their solo careers. And the distance also appears to be the problem, as not all of the members currently reside in the United Kingdom.

“I think we’d all quite like to do something, but it really is figuring it out. We all have such different lives. Mel B lives in America. We’ve all got different managers.”

And it seems that Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton is not the only former Spice Girls member who would love to do the one-off show at Wembley.

In December of last year, another member of Spice Girls, Mel B (aka Scary Spice), said that it would be rude not to celebrate the girl group’s 20th anniversary in 2016. Then, in her recent appearance on the Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss podcast, Scary Spice said all Spice Girls members are discussing the possibility of a reunion.

But it appears that not all Spice Girls members are equally excited about the reunion, as Victoria Beckham has no plans to get back on stage, as said by her spokesperson in January this year.

The spokesperson of the pop star-turned-fashion designer told TMZ that although Beckham has been “very respectful” of the “fabulous time” she spent with Spice Girls 20 years ago, her focus now is her family and fashion business. Victoria Beckham married football player David Beckham around the time Spice Girls broke up, in 1999. The 41-year-old pop star-turned-fashion designer has four children: sons Brooklyn Joseph Beckham, 17, James Beckham, 13, Cruz David Beckham, 12, and daughter Harper Seven Beckham, 4.

The Spice Girls had a reunion four years ago, when the best-selling British girl group performed at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics.
