Jennifer Aniston: Cold-Hearted Demeanor Towards Ailing Mom

Jennifer Aniston has got a great set-up as of late. The actress married her beau, actor and screenwriter Justin Theroux, in a secretive backyard ceremony last summer, and her career continues to be on fire. The Cake star is in high-demand on the big screen and has even admitted recently that she feels she can be more selective with the roles she accepts at this stage in her career. The talent chatted with Harper’s Bazaar about her love for her home, hubby, and career.

“I really have to love something to be leaving my home, my dogs, my husband. The older you get, the more you realize that.”

One aspect of the star’s life that seems a little further from perfect than the rest, is the relationship she has with her mother. In short, Jen and her mother, now 79, don’t have a relationship at all. Unfortunately, the star’s estranged mom is also not doing very well health-wise and rumors are swirling that Jen is continuing to shut her mother out even as she is ailing. Radar Online makes mention of the condition of Aniston’s mother.

“Nancy Dow, 79, was reportedly spotted looking frail as her caretaker pushed her into the Lakeside Community Healthcare center on March 16.”

Onlookers spoke with In Touch about how they perceived the health of Aniston’s mom.

“She looked to be in pain. Nancy was so weak that she had to be lifted out of the car and placed into a wheelchair. It was such a sad sight.”

It’s been reported that the lead up to Dow’s now-frail condition involved a series of small strokes. Jen’s mother is clearly deteriorating and is still not in contact with her daughter and reportedly does not live far from Aniston and Theroux’s Bel Air mansion.

Although the two are close in proximity, Aniston stands firm on what she dished out about her and her mother’s relationship in her 1999 tell-all memoir, From Mother and Daughter To Friends. The 47-year-old and Dow have been estranged ever since.

The insider who spoke with the entertainment publication shares the heartbreak the distance has caused Nancy over the years.

“Jen never calls, never checks in. It seems like for Jen, her mother doesn’t exist. Nancy will probably die without seeing her daughter again. And I can tell you this, I know she’ll die with a broken heart.”

The last time Jen spent time with her mother was following a near-fatal stroke that Dow suffered back in 2011. The source shares that Nancy simply wants to see her daughter again, and not for any kind of financial gain or fame, but simply to spend time before she passes.

“Nancy just wants to see her one last time. She doesn’t want any special treatment or money. She just wants Jen to realize that you only get one mother. Time is running out for that to happen.”

Rumors are also making the rounds that Jen is focusing on helping her hubby resuscitate his dying career since he has experienced numerous flops in a row, with Zoolander 2 being the latest. A source tells Design & Trend of the apparent details about Jen’s attempts to assist Justin.

“She is now making calls and pulling strings to keep his movie career alive. Justin’s putting a light-hearted front on things right now, but he’s absolutely devastated at his string of movie flops — ‘Zoolander 2,’ ‘Rock of Ages’ ‘Wanderlust’ — and has no choice but to rely on Jen to help him out.”

So if the rumors are true, it seems that Jen is too preoccupied with her married life and assisting Justin to have time to reconcile with her mother.
