Jessica Simpson Rocks Her Daisy Dukes Again — You Won’t Believe What She Looks Like Now

Jessica Simpson is slipping back into her signature Daisy Duke denim shorts, and the internet is taking notice.

According to E! News, Simpson stunned in her iconic denim cut-offs while soaking up the sun with friends in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on March 30, where Jessica once again showed the world what she’s got wearing short very similar to those she rocked way back in 2005 in The Dukes of Hazzard.

But while the tiny shorts looked very similar to the short shorts Jessica wore more than 10 years ago, according to E! News, Simpson was actually self-promoting with her latest cut-offs.

The site revealed that Jessica’s latest daisy dukes were actually taken from her own clothing range, the Jessica Simpson Collection, and retail for just $44.

But while her new short shorts won’t break the bank, Simpson pretty much sent the internet into meltdown when photos of her slimmed-down physique hit the web on March 31, with a number of social media users taking to Instagram to get nostalgic about Jessica’s iconic shorts.

15 Seconds of Pop posted a shot of Jessica getting nostalgic in her Daisy Dukes on Instagram, which inspired a number of users to praise the “Do You Know?” singer for bringing back the iconic short shorts.

“Damn those calves tho,” Instagram user @jamieatsalot commented on the social media photo, while @l_arzate simply wrote alongside the photo, “Damn!”

Just before snaps of Jessica in her daisy dukes surfaced, Simpson warned fans on Instagram that she was actually smuggling some “dangerous curves.” The “I Think I’m In Love You With” singer took to the social media site to show off a photo of herself sporting a yellow swimsuit that read “Caution Dangerous Curves,” which Jessica simply captioned “Enough said.”

It’s thought that Jessica Simpson has been hitting the studio in recent months as she prepares to make her big return to the music scene.

Jessica teased on social media back in February that she’s been working on new music, revealing to her more than two million Instagram followers that she was busy in the studio she’s alleged to have installed in her California home.

“It is happening underground,” Simpson coyly captioned a snap of herself behind the mic, joking with the hashtag “#donotwakethebabies.”

Although Simpson didn’t explicitly reveal that she’s hard at work on her sixth studio album, In Touch Weekly revealed in late 2014 that Jessica was gearing up for a musical comeback and even made it her New Year’s resolution to get back into the studio.

“She’s told friends she’d love to record another album. It’s her New Year’s resolution,” an insider close to Jessica told the site at the time, confessing that Simpson is ready to release new music for the first time since she dropped her second Christmas album, Happy Christmas, in 2010.

“Jessica has missed performing so much. She’s very excited,” In Touch Weekly’s source added.

Simpson also confirmed that she was planning on releasing new music in an interview with Extra last year, where she teased that her new album was in production.

“Right now I am starting a record, and I am getting into a lot of other fun things,” Jessica revealed in the interview in March 2015, where she also confirmed that she had a studio installed in her home so she can stay close to her two children.

“I have a recording studio in my house so I can be around my babies as well,” Simpson told Extra, joking that her kids may try and sing over her while she’s recording.

“They won’t be my background vocalists, they’ll be like, ‘Ahh!’ They’ll be upfront and personal,” Jessica said.
