Lunarpages suffers major outage

Popular cut price web host Lunarpages suffered a major outage today affecting many of its customers and itself, with the Lunarpages front page down for several hours.
The cause of the outage is not clear at this time with Lunarpages telling customers just before 5pm PDT that they were still waiting on an official cause. The company said that the outage affected its San Diego data center customers.
Users reported being unable to access their sites or Lunarpages control panel. At the time of writing 6pm (PDT) at least some sites have been restored and the company is actively working towards restoring any sites that are still down.
More details if we have them, and a Twitter feed covering Lunarpages being down as follows:

Thanks for spreading the news. All Lunarpages sites from the San Diego should be back to normal. If there are any other issues, please make sure you submit a support ticket or contact support@lunarpages.com and we will be more than happy to check out each and every issue.
