Sarah Palin: Did She Really Just Sign A Deal To Get Her Own Courtroom-Reality TV Show? Watch Out ‘Judge Judy’, Here She Comes!

Watch out Judge Judy‘! Sarah Palin is stepping up to the bench. She recently signed a deal for her own courtroom-related reality show. Yes, you heard that right. Will the defendant please approach the bench!

According to People, Palin signed on the dotted line in February. She is collaborating with a production company in Warm Springs, Montana. But, since it’s technically a “production deal,” there are still several steps involved before it’s a sure thing.

The former governor of Alaska has to meet with multiple stations, make an awesome pilot, and then sell it. If Palin is successful, the show will premiere next year. However, no definitive date has been set.

If you’re thinking that the idea for the show was Sarah Palin’s, you’re wrong! It was the production company that approached her back in 2015. Apparently, she spoke with the TV executive who found Judge Joe Brown and Judge Judy.

In regard to the long-ago-and-faraway… well, almost… former vice presidential candidate’s credentials, an undisclosed source had this to say about the project.

Palin’s telegenic personality, wide appeal and common sense wisdom make her a natural for this kind of format and she was Warm Springs’ top pick for this project.”

Who would’ve thought that you don’t actually need a juris doctor degree to be a reality TV courtroom judge? Don’t everybody contact your local production company at once!

In Sarah Palin’s defense, she is a best-selling author and she does know how to talk to a crowd. Hopefully, that’s enough to secure her job on the bench, at least for one season.

If you’ve been keeping up with Sarah’s television career (not counting her political appearances), you probably already know that she hasn’t had much luck in that department.

From November 2010 until January 2011, you might have tuned into the TLC network to watch Sarah Palin’s Alaska, according to an article on Fortune.

If watching Sarah and her family, typically interacting with the great outdoors, wasn’t really your thing, maybe you saw her contribute on Fox News? Then again, maybe not. Palin was hired and fired on two different occasions. The most recent being 2015.

What does Judge Judy have to say about all of this? So far, she’s been silent. Not even a tweet. Maybe it’s because she’s not worried about the potential competition revolving around Sarah Palin’s new show.

On the other hand, it might be because Judith Scheindlin recently found herself the subject of a breach of contract lawsuit between CBS And Rebel Entertainment Partner.

Lawyer Herald informs readers that the good judge’s yearly salary of $47 million is being unfairly deducted from the gross profits of her hit show, which is more than $1.7 billion in a total of 19 seasons. That’s a lot of bail money!

Judge Scheindlin has this to say about the case.

“The fact that Richard Lawrence [President of Rebel] is complaining about my salary is actually hilarious…Neither I nor anyone involved in the day-to-day production of my program has heard from him in 20 years…Yet he has somehow received over $17,000,000 from my program. My rudimentary math translates that into $8,500,000 an hour for Mr. Lawrence. Not a bad payday. Now complaining about not getting enough money, that’s real chutzpah!”

Getting back to the real subject at hand, do you think Sarah Palin is a good candidate for courtroom reality TV? Would you be brave enough to have her handle your case in front of viewers everywhere?

Feel free to leave your comments about “Judge” Sarah Palin, below. Court is adjourned!
