Christina Aguilera’s Feud With Gwen Stefani Worsens On The Set Of ‘The Voice’ Season 10 [Report]

Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani have reportedly been at odds due their alternating coaching roles on NBC’s The Voice. According to a new report, the women’s feud recently worsened both on stage and behind the scenes.

“Christina Aguilera is reportedly furious over fat paychecks that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are receiving on the side to basically make out on camera when they are filming live episodes of The Voice,” Celeb Dirty Laundry reported on March 16.

Following Season 6 of The Voice, which aired in 2014, Christina Aguilera temporarily left the show to concentrate on her second pregnancy. As a result, NBC enlisted Stefani to take her place on stage. However, rather than do so for just one season, Stefani has continued to alternate seasons with Christina Aguilera ever since — and not just that.

In addition to taking her coaching chair every other season, Stefani has also reportedly stolen her fans and won over producers, leaving Christina Aguilera furious. According to the report, once Christina Aguilera realized that she wouldn’t be missed if she didn’t return for Season 10, she allegedly demanded to be brought back to her coaching position.

According to the report, a recent OK! Magazine publication claimed Christina Aguilera is jealous of Gwen Stefani’s romance with Shelton, not because she wants Shelton for herself, but because Christina Aguilera is allegedly benefiting substantially from her involvement with her co-star.

“There is money involved. Apparently, the couple receives a check every week on top of their regular salary, just for bringing their relationship on to The Voice,” the report explained, adding that on top of the weekly bonus, the duo also gets paid for each on-camera kiss.

News of Stefani and Shelton’s alleged bonuses first hit the web earlier this month.

“Blake and Gwen are getting an interesting offer from the show’s execs,” a source informed Radar Online on March 10. “Producers want the two of them to give fans a full-on love-fest this season when she is a mentor on Team Blake, and they are going to throw in huge bonuses for exclusives, such as on-air duets, engagements, etc.”

Meanwhile, Christina Aguilera was said to be “furious” at the payments and throwing “mini tantrums” about producers’ alleged decision. She even went as far as to reportedly rant about how Stefani was “not vocally talented” and claimed she wouldn’t even be on the show if it wasn’t for her highly-publicized romance with Shelton.

While the singer was reportedly causing quite a stir on set, her co-star, Shelton, is said to be unconcerned with her behavior and focused on the positive side of life.

“Blake really does not care what [Christina Aguilera] does or says,” the insider said. “He is a completely different person now because of Gwen, so much more laid-back. He said that he’s grateful the show is the reason that he and Gwen found each other.”

As Christina Aguilera continues to be accused of diva behavior, Stefani and Shelton’s relationship has taken center stage with her return to The Voice Season 10 as his mentor. Meanwhile, Christina Aguilera has been paired with the often-controversial Miley Cyrus, who is appearing as a mentor for the very first time during Season 10.
