Lady Gaga’s Wedding Plans: No Crazy Dresses Or Psychedelic Themes For Her

Lady Gaga is finally opening up about her wedding plans. Everyone, including her own fans, have expected the pop star to have a lavish wedding complete with outlandish wedding gowns.

Lady Gaga is typically known for her over-the-top performances and costumes, but she says that her upcoming wedding to fiancé Taylor Kinney will be more subdued and understated than usual. During her interview with Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show, Gaga said that she doesn’t want their wedding to become a big spectacle.

“We are not planning anything that is not worth writing about. I think if I would let my mom do this with all of us and my family – I think if I would’ve denied the women of my life the planning of the wedding – they would probably kill me. I have all the help in the world in a way!”

Earlier this year, Taylor Kinney spoke with Entertainment Tonight about their wedding plans. He jokingly said that he would leave all of the planning to Gaga, but they haven’t set a date yet.

“I told her I don’t mind doing the little white chapel thing. She wants what she wants. I want to make sure that it’s right and it’s what she wants…We’re going to take our time and do it right.”

Kinney, who had traveled to Morrocco for the production of Rock the Kasbah, says that the location would be an ideal wedding location, but planning a wedding has been difficult since both actors have busy schedules.

When it comes to becoming a mother someday, Gaga told Seacrest that she is not making babies anytime soon.

“I just to make sure I do everything I can before I have a child, to know that I’ve tried to put as many good things into the world as possible so she can be proud of me, or that my son can be proud of me.”

Meanwhile, the 34-year-old actor said to ET that he would love to have a huge family someday.

“I have a bunch of brothers. I grew up with a big family. I want that, sure…I want a brood, you know. I’d like to have a little soccer team and a minivan and all that stuff.”

He then joked that his fiancé is not too sold on the idea.

“We’ll see,” Kinney added. “Ask me in 10 years.”

Lady Gaga has already done a fine job this year. She has raved reviews for both of her performances at the Grammys and the Oscars, and for her performance in American Horror Story: Hotel.

And for the second year in a row, Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney have dipped into the freezing waters of Lake Michigan to help raise money for Special Olympics Chicago. Gaga joined Al Roker, Kinney, and the rest of his Chicago Fire cast in the icy cold lake.

“We love the city of Chicago and the Polar Plunge for the Special Olympics,” Gaga wrote on Instagram. “These men and women are brave and powerful. Me and Taylor love getting cold in your honor every year.”

A spokesperson for Special Olympics Chicago told the Chicago Tribune that Gaga, Kinney, other celebrities, and the 6,000 other participants helped raise $1.5 million for the organization. Last year, Gaga wore a Chicago Fire Department T-Shirt, but this year she wore a Blackhawks cap to show her pride for Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Even Gaga knows when to leave the crazy costumes at home when it comes to charity events.
