50 Cent Quits Instagram After Admitting To Fake Cash Photos, Accusations Of Bankruptcy Fraud, And A Call From The Secret Service

Rapper and actor 50 Cent is pretty upset about the big deal that has been made about the pictures he posts on Instagram. The “In Da Club” rapper went on a huge rant on social media on Friday after he says he was contacted by the secret service. It seems that 50 Cent’s claims that he was posing with fake stacks of cash on Instagram have the feds wondering if he was using counterfeit bills in those pictures. At the end of 50’s rant, he made a big announcement that he was just going to quit Instagram after all the hassle.

It was announced that 50 Cent finally struck a deal in bankruptcy court that would have the rapper paying back most of the $7 million lawsuit he lost when Lastonia Leviston sued him for posting her private sex tape. The damages were awarded to Leviston last year and almost immediately following that, 50 Cent filed bankruptcy in an alleged effort not to pay her.

In recent weeks, 50 Cent posed on Instagram numerous times with huge stacks of $20 and $100 bills. In one of his recent posts, 50 wrote out the word “broke” in cash. It looked like a direct jab at Leviston who complained about the pictures, resulting in a summons to appear in court for 50 Cent.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson appeared in court in Hartford on Wednesday after the U.S. Trustees Office began to question the rapper’s finances. He was asked about the bundles of cash pictured multiple times on Instagram. In response, 50 Cent told the court that his money pictures were not real and that in his business, he had to appear wealthy. Despite being in the middle of the bankruptcy process and being in the media for it, 50 Cent continued to flash his cash on social media. Or, at least, flash what we thought was his cash.

Despite having struck a deal with his creditors in the bankruptcy case, the U. S. Trustees Office has asked bankruptcy judge Ann Nevins to appoint an independent examiner to go back over 50 Cent’s finances, according to Billboard. It looks like the rapper could have avoided this whole mess if he just hadn’t tried to appear like he really didn’t need to file a bankruptcy. There is already enough chatter about 50 Cent’s real reasons for the filing, and almost none of them have to do with him being broke. Between Effen Vodka, SMS Audio, and the show Power on Starz among the rapper’s most popular sources of income, it’s pretty clear that 50 Cent is not at risk of becoming destitute among his recent Instagram pictures.

The jury is still out on whether the money in 50 Cent’s Instagram money shots was real or not. The thing is, after 50 claimed that he was posing with fake money, the rapper claims to have been contacted by the secret service. The money in the Instagram pictures looks real enough that there is interest in whether or not the bills are counterfeit.

“Now someone from secret service is asking if prop money was counter fitted,” 50 Cent wrote on Instagram. “How the f**k would I know that s**t head? Smh.”

After posting a string of pictures of the homeless with captions on each about how the U.S. court system is out to get him, 50 Cent finally gave a big announcement. The rap mogul is quitting Instagram in protest of the way he was “unfairly” investigated for bankruptcy fraud and now stands accused of counterfeiting fake bills in order to front on Instagram for his fans.

Does that mean we won’t be seeing 50 Cent on Instagram? Not at all. As a matter of fact, 50 Cent made it clear that he is quitting the social media platform, but that someone will manage it for him in his absence.
