Jason Segel And Michelle Williams Aren’t Engaged

In the case of Jason Segel and Michelle Williams, the question of whether or not they’re engaged has been on the minds of fans and media outlets across the board. Well, it looks like we finally got our confirmation that Segel and Williams aren’t engaged, yet.

Michelle Williams’ representative spoke with E! to give them the details, saying that Segel and Williams are still extremely happy and chugging along on their road together but, “are not engaged.” The story of Jason Segel and Michelle Williams first started circulating when Australian magazine Woman’s Day reported the story on Monday.

In the report, the magazine claimed that Segel flew from New Jersey to San Diego, to surprise his girlfriend Michelle Williams, who was currently in town promoting Oz: The Great And Powerful at Comic Con. According to the site, when Williams walked into her hotel room, Matilda was sitting on her hotel bed with a bouquet of her favorite flowers and a message, “Will you marry me?” It looks at though that little fairy tale was too good to be true, but according to sources it’s not far off from reality.

The couple, who has been spending most of the summer in Brooklyn and Upstate, New York have enjoyed brunch out, trips to the city for a Broadway show, and during Michelle’s Comic Con promotion we’ve seen Segel act like a pro with her daughter Matilda, 6.

When asked earlier in the summer about whether or not a five-year engagement was appropriate, Segel explained at the premiere of The Five-Year-Engagement that he was looking for something a little more fast paced, “My plan is to get her to marry me as quickly as possible before she finds out who I really am,” Segel joked.

We’ll see what the fall brings for Jason Segel and Michelle Williams, when the actor starts shooting the 8th season of How I Met Your Mother in Los Angeles.
