Kim Kardashian Bares All (Again); Bette Midler Wonders What’s Left To Show

In a move that surprised perhaps no one, Kim Kardashian has posted another nude selfie with the caption, “When you’re like I have nothing to wear LOL.” While the post clearly illustrates Kardashian’s assets — in addition to her ability to bounce back after having a baby — it’s another in a string of nude to semi-clothed shots of the reality star, and actress Bette Midler is wondering if there are any limits to Kardashian’s love of the camera.

Between Kardashian’s nude selfies and her nude magazine covers — the one for Paper a couple of years ago went incredibly viral — Midler’s tweet appears to ring true. The name Kardashian appears to be synonymous with the idea that it’s necessary to see how much skin can be shown, and while all of the Kardashian sisters are undeniably attractive, perhaps it’s time to live by the notion of “less is more.”

The Toronto Sun noted that Kardashian’s nude selfie was apparently from a year ago, and Kardashian took to Twitter shortly after the image was posted to clarify the misunderstanding about when the pic was taken.

Interestingly enough, the Atlanta Journal Constitution notes that Kardashian’s penchant for nude photos has inspired a line of Christmas sweaters featuring the infamous Paper cover shot. In spite of the shade thrown at her by Midler, Kardashian has also shown that she is not about to take the criticism about her choice of photos lying down. She put Midler squarely in the crosshairs as she shot back, “hey @BetteMidler I know it’s past your bedtime but if you’re still up and reading this send nudes #justkidding.”

While Midler has yet to respond to the salvo, Kardashian also took on Chloe Grace Moretz, who recently became the first American to appear on Saturday Night Live Korea and speak only Korean. Moretz also weighed in on Kardashian’s naked selfie, tweeting, “I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies,” according to Entertainment Weekly.

Kardashian met Moretz head on, saying that “no one knows who she is” on Twitter and apparently complimenting her on her cover shot on Nylon magazine. The actress has been known for her roles in Kick Ass,Kick Ass 2, and If I Stay.

Kardashian also took the opportunity to brag about how much cash her video game is making, in addition to saying that she was transferring $53 million — the amount her husband Kanye West claims is his personal debt — to the couple’s joint bank account.

Kotaku reports that, while the exact figures are unknown, Glu Mobile Inc., the company behind Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, reported $83.6 million in revenue in 2014 and said that a good deal of that revenue was the direct result of the celebrity’s games.

It is obvious that Kardashian is quite comfortable with her body and that she is justifiably proud of what her body can do. After all, growing a child and the childbirth that ensues are pretty miraculous in and of themselves. However, if Kardashian wants to be taken more seriously in the public eye, perhaps the best route to take would be to start tweeting with her clothes on. Even in California, or wherever the Kardashian-West family calls home, it might get a little chilly in March.
