‘Dancing With The Stars’ Spoilers: Season 22 Celebrity And Pro Watch Intensifies, Who Is Set To Dance This Spring? [Updated]

Season 22 of Dancing With the Stars is right around the corner and DWTS spoilers and speculation about the next slate of pros and celebrities are heating up. ABC has indicated that the official cast announcement is coming on March 8, but rehearsals are said to be starting this weekend and that should lead to some juicy reveals. How are things shaping up so far?

Heading into the official announcement, there have not been all that many solid Dancing With the Stars spoilers regarding Season 22 emerging. That said, the days where the pros and celebrities first meet at the rehearsal studios is when all the good stuff and solid leads usually emerge. Just Jared Jr. just shared several photos showing many of the pros hitting the studio, and this likely serves to nail down much of the DWTS pro slate.

From the looks of things, there may not be many significant shake-ups in terms of the pros included in DWTS Season 22, but a few shifts do appear to be on the horizon. These Dancing With the Stars spoiler photos indicate that Sharna Burgess, Peta Murgatroyd, Witney Carson, Lindsay Arnold, Emma Slater and Jenna Johnson were all spotted at the rehearsal studio earlier in the week.

As for the guys, DWTS pros Val Chmerkovskiy, Mark Ballas, Keo Motsepe and Artem Chigvintsev were seen at the studio. Neither Keo or Artem have not been pros in every round of Dancing With the Stars, but they have been in the mix often enough that it will not be a big shocker if both are back with partners this season. Most fans fully expected Mark and Val to be back, and Val’s brother Maksim confirmed to Life & Style that Val would be dancing this spring.

What about Derek Hough? As some over at PureDWTS note, Hough’s schedule has been quite hectic lately, so the fact he wasn’t at the studio shouldn’t necessarily be taken as a sign of anything yet. Some think there have been hints he will be back for Season 22, others think he will take a break this spring and focus on other projects.

There seem to be at least one or two spots open for the guys then, and many are hoping that Sasha Farber gets another shot at being a pro. He has been in the troupe for a bit now after charming fans when he partnered with Snooki a while back, and there have been some Dancing With the Stars spoilers hinting that he may be getting a celebrity partner again this spring.

Tony Dovolani was not in the pro photos from the studio, but many suspect that he will be back for this next round of Dancing With the Stars. Tony has been with the show for a very long time, but he was a late announcement for last fall’s crew. Is he looking to take a break, opening up a spot for someone else, or will he be back?

Dancing With the Stars spoilers had been teasing that a pro from an earlier season might be back this spring, with some speculating that Lacey Schwimmer might return. Many DWTS fans miss having her on the show, but she shared via Twitter that she is not returning for this spring. Now the buzz is that the returnee just might be Edyta Sliwinska, and that Jenna is actually still with the troupe.

As many Dancing With the Stars fans will remember, Edyta was a staple in the pro group for the first 10 seasons of the show. She is married to fellow former DWTS pro Alec Mazo, who danced with Monaco in Season 1, and the couple welcomed a baby boy in 2014. Edyta partnered with celebrities like Jason Taylor, Evander Holyfield, Cameron Mathison and Joey Lawrence. Most DWTS fans never really expected to see Sliwinska back as a pro, but according to PureDWTS it seems it may happen.

As for the celebrities slated to hit the dance floor, Dancing With the Stars spoilers are swirling right now even though the network won’t confirm anything until March 8. There are signs indicating that that Fuller House star Jodie Sweetin, Real Housewives of Atlanta and Facts of Life star Kim Fields and Ultimate Fighting Championship powerhouse Paige VanZant may be signing up to be contestants this spring.

Many figure that Bachelor Ben Higgins is a likely Dancing With the Stars prospect for this next outing of the series, and there has even been talk that Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Scott Disick may give it a whirl. In addition, there are some rumors making the rounds that Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers may be dancing this spring too.

Do you think the Season 22 DWTS pro slate has been fairly fully flushed out at this point? Who else would you like to see dance? Stay tuned for additional Dancing With the Stars spoilers as they become available in the coming days and be sure to tune in to Good Morning America on March 8 to see the big cast reveal.

Updated: As the pros and celebrities start meeting over the weekend, solid Dancing With the Stars spoilers are coming out left and right. According to reliable DWTS spoiler guru Twitter user @DWTSGossip as well as PureDWTS, there are a few new tidbits available.

If these new Dancing With the Stars spoilers are correct, Derek Hough is not participating in Season 22. Louis van Amstel is apparently back, and viewers will see Peta, Sharna, Karina and Edyta as pros. It seems that Lindsay and Witney may round out the female pro slate, meaning that Emma would not have a partner.

In addition, Paige VanZant is said to be partnered with Mark Ballas, while former America’s Next Top Model contestant Nyle DiMarco, who happens to be deaf, is partnered with Peta. Keep checking back as additional Dancing With the Stars spoilers become available!
