Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom Headed To Couples Therapy, But Is Khloe Over James Harden?

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have had more ups and downs than fans can probably count, but it doesn’t look like they’re ready to call it quits just yet. In fact, that seems to be the furthest thing from their minds because they’re reportedly working to give their marriage one more shot.

According to Hollywood Life, an insider close to Khloe and Lamar has revealed their plans to attend couples therapy so they can begin working to get their marriage back on track. Since Khloe and Lamar’s marriage was an open book for the world to see, most fans are well aware of their downward spiral over the past couple years. When Lamar was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks, things slowly began to take a turn for the worst.

The former NBA star not only struggled on the court, but his drug habits also worsened. Even after he returned home to play for the Clippers, things didn’t get better. Although fans initially thought his lackluster performance was a result of being home sick, they soon learned he’d been hiding a dark secret. Khloe and Rob worked to hide Lamar’s drug addiction, but to no avail. Once the media learned of his addiction, Lamar began spiraling at an accelerated pace and his marriage to Khloe dissolved. After Lamar was caught cheating, they separated.

The insider has revealed to Ok! magazine that Khloe is taking her time with Lamar in an effort to protect herself. Since they’ve been through so much, she’s hoping he plans to turn his life around to make permanent, positive changes. But although they have a long road to recovery, she’s reportedly up for the challenge.

“Khloe’s been hurt so much by Lamar in the past, she’s being very careful,” an insider said. “They’ve started going to therapy and have a long road ahead of them. But she thinks they really have a chance.”

For now, the latest report about Khloe’s plan to reconcile with Lamar is still unconfirmed. If the claims are true, her decision would serve as an abrupt change of heart because her breakup with Houston Rockets star James Harden was just made public on Feb. 23. It has been reported that Khloe accused James of cheating, and his infidelity is what led to the breakup. During a chat with Lisa Rinna on Kocktails with Khloe, she opened up about the complications she faced with James and the overall issue that led to their reported breakup. Khloe alleges that James was often inconsistent in his pursuit and how he struggled to be committed to the relationship.

“I’ve always said, it’s long distance we don’t need to be monogamous. There’s a lot of s**t going on in both of our lives. You live in Houston, I live in LA. Like, let’s see each other when we see each other. What girl says that? Why would you say, ‘Ok, that’s great.’ No, instead forcing a relationship by ‘let’s be committed, let’s be committed.’ He wanted that. I wanted that but I wanted to be realistic. You know what it’s unfair, I’m working so much, you’re in Houston, we don’t need to be committed … Nope, he sought me out. He wanted to be committed. Then, wasn’t committed.”

Although Khloe has gone through a lot of pitfall, changes, and transitions in relationships with two different men since she’s been separated from Lamar, he still seems to be the man she wants a future with. Over the past couple months, Khloe has made it clear that she and Lamar are only friends but there have been times where she’s said otherwise, which only raises speculation about their rumored plans to reconcile.

“Technically I’m still f***ing married! But I do one day, honey, I need to get married again. Listen, at this point, I don’t know what tomorrow is going to bring, I’ve learned that. So even if I remarry the same person again – I don’t know, that’s not where I am right now.”
