Justin Bieber And Rihanna To Headline V Festival 2016: See The Lineup

Justin Bieber and Rihanna will headline V Festival 2016.

The announcement arrived early Monday on V’s social media. In addition to Justin Bieber and Rihanna, other stars in the lineup include Sia, David Guetta, Faithless, Halsey, Kaiser Chiefs, Troye Sivan, Big Sean, Years & Years, Little Mix, Rita Ora, Craig David TS5, Katy B, All Saints, John Newman, Jess Glynne, and more.

The V Festival is a two-day rock out which throws down at two sites — Hylands Park in Essex and Weston Park in Staffordshire — on August 20 and 21. The first festival was held in 1996. This year marks the event’s 21st anniversary.

Justin Bieber and Rihanna are a change in genre from last year’s rockers Kasabian and the dance producer and DJ Calvin Harris. But there’s no doubt the “Love Yourself” singer and “Work” songstress have the hits and star wattage to justify their headliner status.

Further announcements are reportedly expected closer to the festival dates. Tickets will go on sale this Friday at 9:30 am at usual outlets.

News of Rihanna’s upcoming V Festival appearance follows her shock pull-out from performing at the 58th annual Grammys last weekend, citing a doctors’ orders to rest her vocal cords to avoid permanent damage amid a bout of bronchitis.

Soon after, reps for the Bajan star announced her upcoming Anti world tour in support of her same named new album will be delayed due to “logistical reasons” and production issues.

Fans were also informed Rihanna’s shows in Cardiff on June 16 and Sunderland on June 18 have been cancelled.

The first scheduled Anti show will take place on March 12 in Jacksonville, Florida, according to Rihanna’s website. The tour had been due to start on February 26, in San Diego. It will wrap on August 12, in Zurich, Switzerland.

Meanwhile, Bieber has had a historic past few days after winning his first ever Grammy alongside Jack U’s Skrillex and Diplo for their collaborative hit “Where Are U Now.” The trio beat off strong contenders in a category which consisted of Flying Lotus, The Chemical Brothers, As Above and Beyond, and Galantis.

Bieber, Skrillex and Diplo also performed during the show. The mini supergroup delivered a grungy, percussive version of “Where,” after Bieber kicked off with a solo performance of “Love Yourself” on acoustic guitar.

The Grammys took place at The Staples Center on Monday, February 15. Bieber partied at The Nice Guy hot spot in West Hollywood after the ceremony, and also the 1Oak nightclub. The Biebs ended up at The Weeknd’s birthday party in Beverly Hills.

On the night, Justin walked the Grammys red carpet with his younger brother, Jaxon, 6, who promptly stole the spotlight. The singer has since thanked his “Where Are Ü Now” co-writers, fans, and his longtime manager, Scooter Braun, for his award.

Last week, the Biebs announced “Company” as his next single.

The slinky R&B mid-tempo will be the fourth release from the pop icon’s record-breaking, critically acclaimed latest album, Purpose. The song was co-written by Bieber, Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, James Abrahart, Leroy Clampitt, James Wong, Andreas Schuller, and Thomas Troelsen.

The heartthrob took to Twitter last Thursday with the simple message, “#company,”
