Selena Gomez Heads Back To The Studio As She Gets Accused Of Stealing ‘Hands To Myself’

Selena Gomez has been topping the charts with the success of her latest album, Revival, but new reports reveal that she’s already working on her second studio album.

Gomez’s fans were already gifted with her latest album last October, but the pop star is ready to make more hits. She revealed to iHeart Radio backstage at the Grammy Awards that she’s already working on her new album.

“I’m already getting back in the studio with everybody that I love and I’ve been more inspired than ever.”

Maybe Taylor Swift’s Album of the Year award inspired Gomez to make a chart-topping album of her own.

Selena is also busy getting ready for her upcoming Revival World Tour. She will travel through 42 cities, including Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, London, Miami, New Orleans, Seattle, Toronto, and Washington, D.C.

“Creating the tour right now is even more surreal because I’m bringing it to life. It’s very, very genuine. The whole tour you’re going to feel so connected and I love that and I can’t’ wait for people to be a part of it.”

Since the singer dropped Revival last year, the album has already generated three chart-topping hits: “Good For You,” “Same Old Love,” and “Hands to Myself.” Gomez performed these songs on various platforms such as the Jingle Ball concert, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the 2015 American Music Awards, the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and Saturday Night Live.

But now she’s already been accused of stealing music off her first solo album. According to J-14, Selena has been accused of stealing the idea for her music video from a screenplay entitled My Beautiful Stalker.

Screenplay writer Lambert Moberly revealed to OK! Magazine, “[She] was one of a handful of actresses that were interested in My Beautiful Stalker screenplay.”

According to him, Gomez was to play the role of Mia, the sexy character he believes she’s portraying in the video. “I guess famous people can get away with stealing someone’s ideas like this. But I still wish I got credit for all the work I did.”

The singer previously told E! News about how she came up with the idea for her music video.

“I think everyone can have those moments where they’re dreaming of what their life could be, especially girls with love. Being obsessed with the idea, and you can’t control yourself. Ultimately you realize that one of the versions of myself is a little psychotic.”

Meanwhile, a rep for Gomez has denied the claims. But Moberly thinks that she was “describing [his] main character” when she talked about her character in the video. In the screenplay, Mia does become “obsessed” with someone she loves and acts “psychotic” when she stalks him and tries to seduce him by wearing sexy clothes.

Let’s go back to Selena Gomez’s new album. Some fans are hoping that she will release another duet with her friend Charlie Puth. The singers previously teamed up on their new single, “We Don’t Talk Anymore.”

Other fans are hoping that Sel will finally collaborate with her BFF Taylor Swift. Earlier this month, she revealed to E! News that she would be open to making music with the pop star, but only someday, not anytime soon.

“Oh, I don’t know. I mean, eventually right? She’s my best friend. We’ll see,” Gomez said uncertainly while at the Sundance Film Festival.

Well, it’s not a certain thing that will happen, but it’s not necessarily a no either. There’s one definite person that she won’t collaborate with and that’s her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber!
