Calvin Harris Congratulates ‘Beautiful Girlfriend’ Taylor Swift: How They Celebrated Her Big Grammys Win
DJ Calvin Harris took to social media to congratulate his “beautiful girlfriend” Taylor Swift on her Album of the Year Award.
There’s no doubt that it was a big night for Taylor Swift at the Grammys on Monday night. The singer-songwriter won three Grammy Awards: Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year for 1989, and Best Video for “Bad Blood.” Just because Calvin Harris didn’t attend the event with Swift doesn’t mean he wasn’t super supportive of his girlfriend.
The producer shared a photo of the singer accepting her award for Album of the Year along with the caption: “Congratulations to my beautiful girlfriend.”

According to Us Weekly, Calvin joined Taylor to celebrate her big win at an after-party hosted by Republic Records. The artist shared a group photo on Snapchat, which also showed Taylor giving him a kiss on the cheek. An inside source at the party revealed to Us that Calvin couldn’t keep his hands off his girl, while other insiders said that the singer was sociable with everyone that night.
“Taylor pulled up with 20 people, a huge squad, including Haim and Lorde. They were very much a couple inside VIP.”
During the Grammy Awards, Swift was seen crying over missing a note during her opening performance. Her girl, Selena Gomez, was there to comfort her after the shaky performance. Another alleged source gave the Hollywood Life the scoop on how Harris comforted her after the minor glitch.
“Calvin knew exactly what to say to make Taylor feel better about her Grammy performance. A lot of guys might have brushed off her feelings, but Calvin totally validated her. He’s just as much of a perfectionist as she is, so he understands why it bothered her so much.”
So, why didn’t the couple attend the awards ceremony together? Harris skipped the show to work on some new music, according to E! Online.
“He is working and in the studio. Things are great between the both of them. Taylor had plans on going with Selena for some time.”
But another insider claims that Taylor Swift wanted to send an important message by not bringing her man. When she rolled up to the Grammys red carpet with Gomez by her side, she wanted to send a powerful feminist statement to her young fans.
“Taylor wanted to send a message to her fans all over the world that friendship and girl power is what it’s all about. She treasures her relationship with Selena and has never made her friends come second to any boyfriend she’s ever had.”
The source also added that Harris respected Swift’s sentiments, which is why he decided to focus on making some new beats. Swift wanted to stand alone against her haters, like Kanye West, so that she can prove she doesn’t need a man to save her.
During her acceptance speech for Album of the Year, Taylor Swift also called out the rapper’s controversial statements in his new song, “Famous.” Some would call Taylor’s a feminist statement, while others claimed that rapper Kendrick Lamar should have won instead of her.
“Calvin was very concerned to learn that Taylor could’ve come to harm. He told her the simple solution would be to move in with him, so he can protect her and she won’t be in any danger. She has her own security but Calvin has suggested using more and has offered to pay the bill to keep her safe.”
But Taylor Swift has come so far to prove that she’s an independent woman who doesn’t need a man. She has proven to her haters that she’s not obsessed with boys, and isn’t the type of girl who will move next door to her crushes, let alone move in with them. The last thing Swift needs right now is to move in with Harris, especially when her music career is on fire.
The couple will celebrate their one year anniversary together in March. Taylor and Calvin first sparked the dating rooms when they hung out in the VIP room all night long at the 2015 Brit Awards. Now, fans are wondering if wedding bells will ring now that they made it this far.
