Kanye West’s ‘Ultralight Beam’ Trends On Twitter With $53 Million Debt Tweet — And Girl Who Calls On Jesus In Song [Video]

The little girl in Kanye West’s song “Ultralight Beam,” which West performed on SNL on Saturday, February 13, is trending on Twitter right along with West’s “Ultralight Beam” song. As seen in the following video, the little girl can be seen praying in tongues as a woman holds her hands and repeatedly says “yes” to the young girl.

As posted on the Twitter feed of Chance the Rapper, the little girl from the “Ultralight Beam” song is gaining plenty of popularity for the fervent way she prays, or at least imitates those she has seen praying in that manner. Either way, Kanye’s “Ultralight Beam” song is trending on Twitter, and folks can see why West called his new album a gospel album.

“Jesus praise the Lord

Hallelujah

We don’t want no devils in the house, God

We want the Lord, and that’s it”

The actual “Ultralight Beam” performance from SNL is getting plenty of attention along with “The Day Beyoncé Turned Black,” a skit from SNL that made fun of the backlash from Beyonce’s “Formation” video and Super Bowl 50 half-time performance.

As reported by Twitter, the “Ultralight Beam” song and topic has swelled to 40,200 tweets by Sunday, the day after the SNL appearance aired. It’s been a week with a lot of focus on Kanye with West’s new album TLOP, called The Life of Pablo,” debuting big time at Madison Square Garden this week.

The “YEEZY Season 3” album featured lyrics with West rhyming about covering his son Saint in lamb’s wool, and spoke about the famous family being “surrounded by the f****** wolves.” It was a stream of consciousness album that asked thought-provoking questions, proving that Kanye West thought deeply as he constructed the lyrics for songs like “Ultralight Beam” and others.

“What if Mary was in the club before she met Joseph surrounded by thugs

I know you wish there’s some n**** you wish you could unswallow

Yeezy just just jumped over Jumpman”

The “Story of My Life,” as penforced by Kanye, showed the rapper and artist calling himself too aggressive, talking about a time when West was “out here spazzing” but then talked about running the whole presidential election in 2020.

The concert is partially replayed on Tidal, with a link to the replay video provided by Kanye on Twitter. Meanwhile, the lyrics to “Ultralight Beam” and the rousing SNL performance with Kelly Price, Kirk Franklin and Chance the Rapper joining Kanye is causing plenty of conversation on Sunday.

“This is a God dream. This is everything

Deliver us serenity, deliver us peace, deliver us love

Lord knows we need it

Pray for Paris — but pray for the parents”

In “Ultralight Beam,” the lyrics speak of one trying to keep the faith, looking for more and enduring a holy war. Folks who persecute the weak in order to make themselves look strong are urged not do so. “Ultralight Beam” sings about looking to the light, knowing that the Lord takes care of folks like Kanye, who laid on the SNL stage as Kirk prayed over him.

“I know that You take good care of Your child.

No longer afraid of the light

No one can judge – they don’t know

This is my part, nobody else speak

This is my glory be to God”

Chance the Rapper gave a shout out to Chatam and rapped about hailing from 79th Street.

The reaction to “Ultralight Beam” is pouring in on social media on Valentine’s Day.

“Ultralight beam makes me want to cry.”

“We On An Ultralight Beam, We On An Ultralight Beam!!!”

Meanwhile, Kanye West might need those prayers that he is requesting, because West tweeted that he was $53 million in debt, as reported by TMZ.
