Cynthia Bailey Reveals Her Marital Struggles In Heartbreaking Interview

Cynthia Bailey was shocked when she learned that her husband had touched another woman inappropriately while hanging out at his bar in Charlotte. A patron had filmed the encounter and put the video on Instagram. It quickly spread like wildfire, and Bailey was forced to defend her marriage. If it hadn’t been for Instagram, she may never have seen the video. According to a new Radar Online report, Cynthia Bailey is now revealing that she and her husband aren’t necessarily doing any better. They only see one another a few times a month.

“Peter and I are doing okay,” Cynthia revealed in a new interview with OK Magazine, as reported by Radar Online. “He spends really most of his time in Charlotte at Sports One. I am between Atlanta, New York and LA. It’s not easy because we are really in a long distance relationship.”

Peter has been spending plenty of time in Charlotte, North Carolina, as he plans on opening up another establishment. He currently has SportsOne in Charlotte, but he’s planning on opening a club. This club will surely be a concern for Cynthia Bailey, as it could pose another threat to her. And she recognizes that their marriage isn’t in the ideal situation right now.

“It’s definitely not the ideal situation to be in. It’s kind of nice—no matter how busy you are—to sleep in the same bed at night,” Cynthia Bailey reveals to the magazine, adding, “I would say we were actually with each other on a good month, maybe five days a month… maybe one week out of the month. That’s where we are at now and maybe it’s the past three months it’s been like that.”

On The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Peter Thomas revealed that his career ambitions had taken over. And while she could be supportive of him, Cynthia runs her own modeling agency in Atlanta. In other words, they were both so ambitious with their careers that they put everything else on hold. And Bailey recognizes that sacrifices must be made, and sadly, their marriage and their time together have taken the toll.

“Again, when you are married, you do have to make certain sacrifices, especially when you are both entrepreneurs and we’ve both been successful,” Bailey explained, revealing, “We want to remain successful, so we are on our grind right now. So we have a little less time to actually grind [on] each other if you know what I mean.”

Although they are spending lots of time apart and will possibly spend even more time apart when he starts working on the club, Bailey is determined to make her marriage work. It is questionable how much she can actually handle if more videos surface on social media. But even though it may be hard for her, she’s determined to make it work.

“Marriage is hard. I think it’s definitely difficult when it’s long distance relationship, and at this point, it is a long distance relationship,” Cynthia points out, adding about the future, “My only goal is to give it all I have. It’s either going to work or it’s not going to work. And as long as I’m good with that and he gives it all he has, then that’s all you can really do.”

And these days, Cynthia would probably benefit from having a friend or two check in one her. Sadly, she is making some mistakes in the friends department. According to Us Weekly, Cynthia will reveal to NeNe Leakes that she was never really close with Kenya Moore. Kenya thought that they had become best friends after Bailey and NeNe were on the outs. Sadly, she will get a reality check on this upcoming episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
