‘Arrow’ Star Stephen Amell Teases An Olicity Break-up, Plus He Talks ‘The Flash’/’Supergirl’ Epic Crossover

With so much currently going on in this season of Arrow, the next episode could be a major turning point, at least according to the synopsis and a few teasers from star Stephen Amell.

Cartermatt reports that “Sins of the Father,” which is the title of the next all-new episode, brings about a lot of stirring questions given the fact that there are a lot of fathers in the show. Malcolm is a dad to Thea, Diggle is a dad to baby Sara, and Oliver is a dad to William, who viewers know he is still seeing in his in-between time. And of course, you can’t forget about the daughter of Ra’s al Ghul, Nyssa, who still is desperate to wear the title of Demon’s Head. But how far that desperation is going to take her waits to be seen.

Carter Matt also provides fans with a short synopsis of the upcoming episode.

“Oliver (Stephen Amell) receives an offer from Nyssa (guest star Katrina Law) that is hard to refuse. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) continues to battle the bloodlust, Malcolm (John Barrowman) steps in to help his daughter, and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) has a heart to heart talk with Nyssa.”

And with the most recent episode revealing a curveball with Nyssa wanting Oliver to kill Malcolm, which she will then give Oliver what he needs to save Thea’s life, seems to be building towards another epic showdown between major players.

And if that wasn’t enough to get fans curious with excitement, then Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen/The Green Arrow) pushed things over the edge by hosting a Facebook Q&A with fans.

According to Comic Book, Amell was asked to describe a few upcoming episodes using just three words. And in true Arrow fashion, Amell’s answers were vague enough but also intriguing enough to get the comments section buzzing with speculation.

“Duel. Fallout. Ring,” he told a fan who asked the question. Of course, “duel” could easily take the routine of the showdown between Oliver Queen and Malcolm Merlin (John Barrowman), a showdown that hasn’t occurred since the end of Season 1. The latest episode also revealed the Malcolm’s death could save Thea’s life, but fans shouldn’t get too excited as the “duel” could also be between Nyssa and Tatsu, who battled shortly during the last episode.

As for the “fallout,” that could be the repercussions from the “duel” and whatever else happens in the next episode which leaves “ring” for last.

This one is tricky, however, as Comic Book claims that a group of fans reportedly saw the filming of an Olicity wedding, and then there was also a comment by Amell that a wedding episode was approaching. But those two reports contradict the midseason premiere’s flash-forward scene in which viewers spotted Felicity with no ring on her finger, leading fans to assume that Olicity was no more.

With Amell always taking a liking to the interaction he gets with his Facebook fans, he also took time in the Q&A to talk about the reported crossover between Supergirl and The Flash.

The International Business Times reports that when Amell was asked if The Green Arrow would appear on Supergirl now that it has been confirmed that Barry Allen (Flash) will be zooming over to Supergirl’s city, Amell said, “I don’t know. We shall see. Cool thing to consider regardless…”

Arrow airs at 8 p.m. Eastern Wednesdays on The CW.
