Khloe Kardashian & Lamar Odom Reportedly ‘Closer Than Ever’ Following Her Split With James Harden

Khloe Kardashian is reportedly “closer than ever” with estranged husband Lamar Odom following her recent split with James Harden, which US Weekly confirmed happened weeks ago.

Despite her break up with James Harden, 26, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star only had great things to say about the former Houston Rockets player, specifically on the way he handled the situation with Lamar from the time the former Laker was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel in October last year.

“James has been great. He’s been very supportive with everything,” she told Ryan Seacrest in November. “I’m sure there was, of course, times that he was uncomfortable with some of the things, but I’m a very honest person and I have nothing to hide … He’s been great and I’ve been open and honest.”

The split wasn’t totally unexpected as the former couple had been plagued with split rumors in the recent months. In January, Harden was spotted with Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend, Tyga, partying at a strip club. We can only assume that it didn’t sit well with Khloe after she posted a cryptic quote after news of his clubbing made its rounds across social media. The quote read as “Stay away from people who make you feel like you are hard to love.”

Now that Khloe Kardashian, 31, is back on the market, there has been a lot of speculation on whether she’s on her way to getting romantically involved with Lamar Odom again. It’s hard to say at this point, but there’s a reason for fans to hope that it could happen as a source for E! News recently made a statement confirming that Khloe and Lamar continue to be “closer than ever.”

“When Lamar isn’t in physical therapy he is with Khloe. They continue to be closer than ever. No one really knows what will happen with them in the future.” The source also added that Lamar “has a very positive attitude, Khloe is so proud of him. She encourages and motivates him everyday.”

As to Lamar Odom’s road to recovery, things seem to be on the up and up, thanks in large part to Khloe Kardashian’s prodigious support right from the get-go. Miss Kardashian, who flew to Odom’s bedside hours after he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel, also said that she still “genuinely loves” her husband even after all the broken promises and the constant cheating he committed during their relationship.

Furthermore, Lamar Odom is putting in the work necessary to get him back to his old self. His progress is slow, but it’s as steady as can be. To top it off, the insider for E! News confirmed that Odom is “almost power-walking” his way to full recovery.

“Right now, they have him focusing on lower body strength exercises. He makes a little bit of progress everyday, but it’s still baby steps. He went from not being able to even stand on his own, to now, he is almost power-walking.”

In an Instagram photo recently posted by Kim Kardashian, it was revealed that Lamar had recently enjoyed a pre-Super Bowl hike with Khloe and her family. So not only is a recovering Odom “closer than ever” to Khloe, it appears that he is now in the good graces of the Kardashian family.

“Super Soul Sunday time before Super Bowl Sunday time with Khloe & Lamar,” Kim wrote on Instagram with a man who appears to be Lamar.

Lamar is reportedly enjoying lots of “family time” with the Kardashians, which should benefit him greatly in terms of his psychological recovery.

“He’s hung out with Kourt’s and [Kim]’s kids. He loves family time. So, he’s been doing really good. I think it makes him feel good to be around everyone, too, and to just be in a happy environment over obviously where he was.”

Technically speaking, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are still husband and wife. The Strong Looks Better Naked star put their divorce on hold following Lamar’s scary overdose at the Nevada brothel. As to whether they can get rekindle their old romance, we can only cross our fingers at this point.

“This is a very delicate and difficult time for both Lamar and Khloe, and the most sensible thing to do at such a time is not make any big moves and put everything on hold. So that’s what she is doing,” a source told CNN.
