Hilary Duff Finalizes Divorce From Mike Comrie: Who Will She Date Next?
Hilary Duff is officially a single woman. The Younger star has finalized her divorce from professional hockey player Mike Comrie two years after their split.
The couple was married for three years prior to their split and share a son, Luca, 3. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Duff, 28, agreed to pay Comrie, 35, $2.5 million to settle their divorce. She will keep their Beverly Hills home and other property.
Also in the documents, Hilary will also get to keep her interest in a new Malibu home. Hilary and Mike will also get joint custody of their son. They split the childcare costs, and neither will receive spousal support. Meanwhile, Mike will be able to keep his 2014 Bentley Coupe, 2013 Mercedes G-Class SUV, and his jewelry.
Despite their split, Comrie and Duff will remain close friends for the sake of their son. The singer and actress made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to address their divorce.
“We have an amazing son. And we’re both so obsessed with him and we’re good friends. And we laugh a lot and we have a great communication and we share pictures when one is not with Luca and yeah, he’s great and we keep on trucking.”
It’ll be interesting to see who Hilary Duff dates next. During her interview with Ellen, the “Sparks” singer revealed that she would prefer to date Prince Harry over Justin Bieber. Then she had to choose between Prince Harry or Jake Gyllenhaal. At first, she went with Jake.
And recently in the latest issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, she revealed that she had a crush on her Cinderella Story co-star Chad Michael Murray.
“I definitely had a crush on him. We had a few kissing scenes in the movie and I remember feeling pretty nervous about that, but then we became friends and I wasn’t so nervous anymore.”
Another actor that Hilary has her eye on is Ryan Gosling.
“I was probably pretty excited to meet Ryan Gosling. Doesn’t everyone still have a crush on him?” she said as she looked at a photo from 2005, adding, “My sister and I have some pretty Southern hair going on here, that’s one thing I will say.”
It’s not Duff’s first time in the dating world. Last year, she went on a handful of Tinder dates to meet guys and used her experiences to document in her music video for “Sparks.” But then Duff quit Tinder after sharing her experience, so don’t expect her to be on the app again.
“I’m not still using it. It was really fun for me for a minute; I wanted to experience something totally normal and also shock people. No one thought I was really on it — and I was really on it! So I integrated that into my video and showed a side of me that’s really real, really normal.”
In the video, Hilary is seen doing a radio interview confessing that she’s on Tinder and then setting up her profile with the help of her friends. Despite the fact that her profile is still up on the app, Hil revealed that she hasn’t found someone who has given her any “sparks.”
“I haven’t been so lucky. No — I don’t know. I would not, uh — I would not go with me on Tinder. I don’t know!”
Maybe she should take a closer look at her Younger co-star Nico Totorella, who has admitted he had a crush on her Lizzie McGuire character. But it looks like Ms. Duff is more focused on her son, who she revealed is the only boy who makes her smile these days. Being a mom comes before the aspects of her career, like releasing new music.
