New ‘GTA V’ Community Missions Now Available With These Online Sniper Challenges

Rockstar Games has regularly shared their favorite user-generated content for Grand Theft Auto V ever since they launched the creation tools that give players everything they need to create their own online missions for the game. The developer continued their established trend of showcasing the best community-built jobs for GTA Online this week by suggesting a series of sniper themed missions.

Making sure to include GTA V players regardless of what platform they own, the team provided a sampling of sniper jobs on the Rockstar Newswire blog that should allow fans to try out one of the new sharpshooter missions on old and new consoles alike. With this thought in mind, the developer suggested a different sniper challenge available for each edition of Grand Theft Auto V on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

On the PS4, gamers will compete on two opposing teams in the Last Man Standing sniper challenge titled “Hunting Season.” In this competitive GTA Online match type, one team must try to across across a field while a rival team of snipers attempt to pick off the runners from a distance.

For the rest of GTA V‘s current-gen console fans, Rockstar Games urges Xbox One users try out the team-based, “Holes of Glory” community mission. While players might usually be accustomed to operating sniper class weapons from afar, “Holes of Glory” forces participants to engage in close quarters combat with their sniper rifles. This makes GTA Online fans to quickly adapt their tactics to get off quick shots rather than more traditional aimed ones.

For PC players, the developer picked out the odd Last Team Standing creation of “Snipers vs. Speed Boats.” Just as the name suggests, this user-created mission challenges one group of players to snipe enemy teammates who are behind the wheel of their own fast watercraft. The boat team isn’t completely helpless however, they might be able to take out the snipers with some well-placed explosives.

Not wanting ignore last-gen gamers, Rockstar Games also gave suggestions of sniper-themed jobs enjoy on older consoles. The Xbox 360 and PS3 GTA Online jobs are a little more straight forward sniping challenges that put players in high vantage points with powerful, scoped rifles.

Rockstar Games is also looking for any other sniper missions that Grand Theft Auto V might have created using the game’s built-in creation tools. The developer is asking content makers to send their own missions for a similar promotion.

“Have you constructed your own sniper-themed Job or challenge – or another type of uniquely-themed Job? Make sure to share it in the Newswire comments section for others to enjoy or send it to Rockstar via Mouthoff so we can check it out and possibly share it with the GTA Online community here in the future.”

Those hoping to get a closer look at this week’s sniper challenges can check out official Rockstar video streams of the jobs later this week. They plan to show off the missions this Friday alongside some of the GTA V content creators themselves.

“Be sure to tune into the Rockstar Games Livestream, on both Twitch and YouTube Gaming, this Friday February 5th at 5pm ET where we will be playing the Jobs featured in this post with invited Creators themselves and other special guests.”
