Khloe Kardashian Leases Nearby Home For Lamar Odom Amid Memory Loss Concern: ‘KUWTK’ To Show Overdose Drama [Video]

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have been making headline news since October when the Keeping Up with the Kardashians (KUWTK) star learned that her estranged husband had been found unconscious in a brothel in Nevada after a drug overdose. Rushing to his side, Khloe took over making the medical decisions as he fought to survive. Since then, Kardashian has devoted hours to staying in the hospital as Lamar recovered.

Now that Odom has exited the hospital, new reports are revealing that Lamar is living near Khloe. At the same time, KUWTK is finally catching up to what the world already knows, and a teaser promo shows that the Kardashians’ reality TV show will show the drama when Khloe and her family first learned what had happened to Odom.

In terms of the current situation, Kardashian put her name on a lease for a house in which Lamar currently is living, a source told TMZ.

The home in which Odom is residing is close to where Khloe lives. And it provides for privacy because The Oaks is a gated community. The proximity provides a way for Kardashian to stay close to Lamar while not residing in the same home. Odom recently was seen visiting her house.

The confirmation from Lamar’s family in early January that he had left the hospital indicated Odom would enter a private live-in rehab, reported the Daily Mail.

Lamar has been spotted in Southern California in a car following his exit from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Although Khloe and Odom had almost completed the divorce process prior to the discovery of his unconscious body at Nevada’s Love Ranch brothel, Kardashian now has been vocal in revealing that she still views him as her “soul mate.”

Khloe did not want Lamar to live with her after he left the hospital. However, she did reveal during a conversation with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that she felt Odom had gotten help in recovery from the family’s children, including North West (Kim Kardashian’s daughter) and Reign, Penelope, and Mason (the children shared by Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick).

“He’s hung out with Kourt’s and Kim’s kids. He loves family time. I think it makes him feel good to be around everyone too and to just be in a happy environment over obviously where he was,” said Khloe.

Lamar Odom Struggles With Memory Problems

As for how Lamar is doing physically, Kardashian admitted that he has problems with short-term memory.

“His long-term memory is great,” insisted Khloe. “His short-term memory isn’t so good… that’s understandable. But he’s great.”

Kardashian also shared that for the first time, Odom is ready to learn how close to death he was and what happened, reported Radar Online.

Still in charge of making the medical decisions for Lamar in her role as his wife, Khloe revealed that she is candid when Odom asks about the brothel overdose. And perhaps indicative of that short-term memory loss, Lamar asks the same questions daily about what happened.

“Every day he’ll ask me, ‘So what happened to me?'” explained Kardashian. “Like today specifically, he was like, ‘How many tubes did I have in me again?'”

Khloe feels it is positive that Odom wants to know the details, viewing it as a sign of recovery.

“I’m honest….it’s good that he wants to know these answers. Before he didn’t want to know, he wasn’t ready to know. So it’s great that he’s at the point that he’s ready to know everything happened,” added Kardashian.

KUWTK Promo Shows Kardashians Learning Of Lamar Odom Overdose

A new teaser for Keeping Up with the Kardashians reveals that the episode will show how Khloe learned that Lamar had been found unconscious in a brothel after an overdose, reported ET.

The episode airing Sunday will mark the first time that the reality TV show has shown anything about the medical drama that Odom faced, with Kardashian to support him. The episode also reveals how her family reacted when they learned that Lamar had been discovered unconscious at a Nevada brothel.

“Khloe has been spending every second with Lamar,” says Kourtney Kardashian.

Kris Jenner talks with Khloe as well as Kim Kardashian about her view on how the family can help Odom.

“I think hearing our voices and having family around might make a difference,” suggested Kris.
