Mariah Carey And James Packer Have 5 Children And 3 Ex-Spouses Between Them

Mariah Carey is engaged! The 45-year-old singer is now flashing around a ring that is big and bright.

E! News reports that Carey and Australian billionaire James Packer have been together for a little less than a year, and a source told E! News that Mariah Carey and her new fiancé are perfect for each other.

“They fell head over heels in love with one another. It’s crazy how perfect they are together, they both know it and couldn’t be happier.”

Back in November, Mariah Carey spoke with Steve Harvey and said that she and Packer couldn’t be happier.

“We were talking and laughing and people were getting mad at us and stuff like that. So, we hit it off.”

A source revealed that the couple have a truly amazing connection with each other.

“As soon as their friendship turned romantic, they have wanted to spend every moment together. They have a connection that is unparalleled; it’s been a very beautiful experience for them both. If you spend even five minutes with them, you can’t help but believe in true love.”

The source even elaborated on why they are so good together.

“They are just very cute together, they like doing sweet things for one another. They want to make each other happy.”

The sweet things they do for one another might be a bit more pricy than most couples’ romantic gestures. Another source revealed that at the end of June 2015, shortly after they began dating, Packer took Mariah Carey to the Western Wall in Israel, which was an incredibly meaningful gesture for Packer.

“There is only one place at the Western Wall where men and woman can stand together and it was meaningful for him to take her there so that they could share this very intimate moment as a couple.”

A different source added more information.

“It was more a spiritual journey then anything. He is aware Carey has the world at her fingertips but he likes to find things that she has never experienced.”

One of the sweet things Packer did for Mariah Carey was to give her a 35-carat diamond engagement ring designed by Wilfredo Rosado. Rosado revealed that he wanted to reach a very high standard when designing the ring.

“I took the standards super high, and I wanted to create a ring that could not be measured up to. What is really most interesting about the ring are the proportions — the stone is so large, but we were able to create a beautiful balance with the overall simplicity of the design. It was about mixing simplicity with volume, which is very difficult to do.”

It appears that Rosado pulled off the balance of the ring just fine. The proposal happened on Thursday evening in New York, and TMZ reports that Packer arranged for Mariah Carey’s closest friends to join them for a dinner party, where he popped the question.

This will be Carey’s third marriage and Packer’s second. The Guardian reports that people are already jesting about new combined name of Mariah Carey and her man, such as “Maracker” and “Pariah.”

There’s only one little problem: apparently neither Mariah Carey nor James Packer are actually divorced.

That aside, it seems as though Mariah Carey and James Packer are a match made in heaven. They clearly love spending time together. Plus, between them they have five children age 7 and under, including Carey’s twins, Moroccan Cannon and Monroe Cannon (aged 4), and Packer’s three children, Indigo Packer (age 7), Jackson Packer (age 5), and Emmanuelle Packer (age 3). That sounds like a very busy household when all the kids are together under one roof!
