‘Tom Clancy: The Division’: Communication Emotes, NPC Cops Almost Used, Full Agent Abilities Leaked

Tom Clancy’s The Division is full of details for this action-RPG game. Now comes some more information regarding emotes for the purpose of communication and the Division agent full attributes list as revealed by beta testers. However, what’s most interesting is what Massive Entertainment almost did for treachery-induced players who “go rogue” too much in the game.

Back in the day, there was the frustration of in-game TK’ers (team killers), or player killers that had been popular as well as irritating in multi-player shooters. Massive Entertainment came up with a method to deal with these destructive players who have nothing but ill will for their fellow man in the cyber-sphere.

In a report by the Inquisitr, a citation by Creative Director Magnus Jansén regarding the behavior of game player, adding, “But we are going to wait and see with that.”

He said he was being “purposefully vague.”

Of course, he may have been talking about being matched up with other Divison players online. Or was Magnus referring to those with destructive personalities when talking about the Division agent behavior?

The Division’s Jansen crew member, via Examiner, gave his take when it comes to those who favor treachery in the Dark Zone area and PVP.

“There are always going to be people who are destructors. There are always going to be people who are the hunter killers of this world. We tried to figure out: how much do we want to deal with that? The relative lack of rules in the DarkZone is super important to us, so we toyed with the idea of having Police NPCs that would police the world of the DarkZone and take out people who are too nasty.”

But Ubisoft/Massive Entertainment decided not go that route in The Division game, as they wanted the whole rogue agent thing to be more player managed via a rogue status, encouraging other players to exact revenge on the destructive division agent and also offer a bounty incentive. This would make it, according to Magnus, “self-policing and self-balancing.”

You can be as bad as you want, but you’ll have that bulls-eye on your back as a division agent if you continue to go rogue. According to Magnus and Examiner, your Division character won’t survive forever in the game if you’re attempting to avoid those on the hunt for your hide.

“I’m sure some people will try to take it upon themselves to be as bad as possible and to avoid capture and that bounty being cashed in, but you’re not going to survive forever.”

The Divison also has six emote abilities, according to Game Zone. There is jumping jacks, salute, surrender, help, applaud, and wave. The YouTuber who put this quick video together surmised that this was the more popular way to communicate regardless of in-game VOIP communications.

Finally, enter the full list of attributes, talents, and perks released according to Gear Nuke via a Reddit user. It’s too long to list here, so here’s a quick summation.

The Division agent has an umbrella of skills, talents, and perks in the game. Each has their own sub-category of medical, tech, and security. It’s quite a lengthy list of detailed information of the types of equipment, weapons, medical supplies, ability to increase inventory space, allocation of space, and other inventory types the division agent can use has he/she progresses through the game levels.

Gear Nuke also cited different screenshots and video footage of The Division, which are available online from in-game beta players.

Tom Clancy’s The Division will be available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 come March 8.
