Courtney Love Happy With Fashion Line And New Relationship, But Still Says Kurt Cobain ‘Greatest True Love I’ve Ever Experienced’

Courtney Love has added to her impressive resume by creating a fashion line that truly captures all that is Courtney Love. Called “Love, Courtney,” the celebrity has teamed up with Nasty Gal to bring the line to fruition, and the Hollywood Reporter reports that Love’s first collection debuted on Wednesday night at the Nasty Gal flagship store in Melrose, Los Angeles.

A number of celebrities were present for the fashion debut, such as Catt Sadler, Eli Roth, Peter Brandt, and Liz Goldwyn. Sophia Amoruso, the founder and chairwoman for Nasty Gal, was also in attendance. Courtney Love spoke about how the collection came to be.

“I have an agent called Mitch Grossbach who started the fashion department at CAA. His other clients are like Kanye, Carine Roitfeld, Riccardo Tisci. He then went to Relativity. I had these really over-the-top dresses I was making that cost me a fortune and were never going to sell, but I liked them. They were art pieces. I brought them to him and he was like, ‘I know exactly who you need to meet.'”

Courtney Love also spoke about what inspired her to create the pieces in the collection.

“We decided to update some of my more iconic pieces of the ’90s. Then we looked at pieces that were not so ’90s. There’s a kimono that I wore two years ago — I’ve been wearing kimonos for a long time — and then there’s some lingerie that I’m not going to strut around in without clothes on top of, but if you’re nineteen you can. I think the Nasty Gal customers are going to respond to it because it’s modern. It’s not just a ’90s retro collection, it’s a collection that’s really updated.”

Twitter has come alive with posts about Courtney Love’s new collection, and some items are already selling out!

It seems like Courtney Love has it all – a fabulous career, a new clothing line, and yes, a man in her life. Page Six reports that Love’s relationship with director Nicholas Jarecki is alive and well.

In December, Page Six broke the news of the relationship after finding out from a source that the couple was introduced a few months earlier.

“Courtney and Nick were introduced through mutual friends three months ago and immediately hit it off. They have been dating.”

The source also said Jarecki is totally into Courtney Love.

“Nick’s really into her. He thinks she is fun and unique. The age difference isn’t an issue at all.”

Of course, even with a new relationship budding, Courtney Love will never forget Kurt Cobain, who committed suicide 21 years ago. The Daily Mail reports that during the holidays, Love posted a throwback photo of her with Cobain and their daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, on her first Christmas.

“That Christmas moment in everyones [sic] lives that you never forget, the one that makes you feel on top of the world, where the greatest gifts are the loved ones you shared that moment with. Well this is mine, I’m grateful to have ever experienced that moment. Merry Christmas Kurt, the greatest true love I’ve ever experienced in my life. You gave me the gift that makes life worth living, our incredibly talented, loving, beautiful and gifted daughter Frances Bean Cobain. Merry Christmas Bean, love mom and dad.”

Courtney Love can truly say she has succeeded in life despite the many obstacles in her path. She has come out on top and has a wonderful daughter, fabulous career, and incredible fashion line to prove it!
