Bethenny Frankel Feels ‘So Blessed’ After Being Called A Racist

Bethenny Frankel made headlines over the weekend, because she decided to tweet something that many people felt was racist. Frankel decided to stay indoors thanks to the massive snowstorm that hit New York and the surrounding areas, but she did have time to hit up the nearby Kmart. And when she was there, she decided to tweet about the lack of customer service and English-speaking employees.

While Bethenny Frankel may not have thought twice about her tweet, many of her followers pointed out that she sounded racist. Frankel later denied being racist, but she clearly rattled quite a few feathers with her tweet. But rather than spend time on Twitter defending her actions, she decided to focus on her daughter.

According to a new tweet, Bethenny Frankel feels blessed after the racist drama — because she’s spending time with her daughter. Frankel was snowed in over the weekend, and she spent some valuable time with her daughter.

“Parting w my peanut is such sweet sorrow after a weekend filled w snowmen & s’smores ? We were both so bummed,” Frankel revealed on Twitter this weekend after facing quite the racial drama.

“There is nothing like the bond between mother and daughter and she knows that can’t be replaced. Nothing comes close,” one person replied to Frankel, who wrote back with, “So beautiful. I’m so blessed.”

It is clear that Bethenny Frankel puts her time with her daughter high on her list of priorities. And dealing with the racial backlash over her tweets about Kmart isn’t really on her schedule. It is no secret that Frankel is the queen of “too much information” and she’s known for making controversial statements and comments. But no one really expected her to say anything in regards to race.

“Wow @Kmart has 2 registers open w 5 other employees standing around & two speak no English whatsoever/ Shoes are sapatos right?” read the tweet that Bethenny Frankel shared over the weekend, and she later added, “Not even attempting kids’ snow boots in Spanish.”

E! Online captured some of the responses to the racist tweet, but Frankel didn’t really seem to care too much about people’s reactions. Instead, she let her followers speak their minds, and they were split down the middle. While some people called Bethenny racist, others defended her tweet, saying that Kmart is horrible when it comes to customer service.

“You know people are allowed to speak any language in this country, right? There is no official language. Racist as hell,” one person wrote, according to E! Online, while another added that she was being racist and speculated that Frankel was voting for Donald Trump in the upcoming elections.

But Bethenny Frankel did reveal that she couldn’t explain her experience. And she did make a joke of it, saying that she wished she was better at starting fires in her home.

“No excuse for being at a retailer & not able to be directed to what u need. 0 to do w race. I’ll explain but can’t understand it for you,” Bethenny revealed on Twitter, adding, “Oh how I wish I was as good at starting fires in my fireplace as I am on Twitter. #wetwood.”

Clearly, Frankel is over the comment and she doesn’t care too much about what people think. She has everything she’s ever wanted, and she’s sharing custody of her daughter with ex-husband, Jason Hoppy. But one can imagine that he could possibly use this comment against her, as they are still in a heated divorce.

What do you think about Bethenny Frankel calling herself “so blessed” after the racism scandal? Were you surprised that she made such a comment about foreign workers?
