The Cookie Monster Covers ‘Call Me Maybe’ [Video]

Well, it’s official. Everyone on the planet has now done a cover of Carley Rae Jespen’s “Call Me Maybe.” The latest person (muppet) to cover the hit of the Summer is Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster, who sings “you’ve got cookies, so share it maybe.”

Cooke Monster sings:

“Me got a wish on me mind / It is the chocolate chip kind / Me look at you and me tell / That you may have snickerdoodle

“Me trade my soul for a bite / me smell it oh black and white / me look at you and me see /you like an elf in a tree

“You cookie showing / My hunger growing / let’s get skim milk flowing / and we’ll start this snack going baby

“Hey, I just met you / and this is crazy / but you’ve got cookies / so share it maybe.”

Carly Rae Jespen’s song has been viewed close to 150 million times on Youtube and has spawned dozens of parodies and covers. Jimmy Fallon, the Miss America contestants, and Miami Dolphins cheer leading squad have all covered the song this summer.
