Drake And Rihanna Releasing New Albums Next Month? ‘VFT6’ And ‘Anti’ Spark February Drop Rumors
Drake and Rihanna may have a new collaboration in the works, but is the duo also planning to release their new albums around the same time? According to the latest rumors surrounding Drake’s Views From The 6 and Rihanna’s Anti, fans may hear some new music from the “Take Care” duo as early as next month.
Just weeks after Rihanna and Drake were spotted filming an alleged new music video in L.A., new rumors have surfaced suggesting that Views From The 6 and Anti are both due for a February release.
According to HITS Daily Double, Rihanna and Drake are rumored to drop their new albums around the same time as this year’s 58th Annual Grammy Awards, which air February 15 on CBS.
Rihanna has already begun fueling speculation that she will be making a surprise appearance at the Grammys next month; the “Diamonds” singer recently appeared in a promo for CBS and the Grammy Awards in which she promises fans that she’s “worth the wait.”

While it’s unclear whether or not Rihanna will be performing at the awards show, or will rather make an announcement regarding a release date for her upcoming album, Drake is also fueling speculation that Views From The 6 may be dropping around the same time as Kanye West’s Swish.
Given Drake and West’s history of competing against one another in their new music releases, coupled with the fact that Kanye has already secured a February 11 release date for Swish, reports are suggesting that Drake may be planning to drop Views From The 6 during the same week as West’s highly-anticipated new album, Complex reports.
In addition, some fans have pointed out that a February 13 release date for Drake’s upcoming album is a possibility given that Drake’s 2015 mixtape, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, dropped on the same date last year.
As for Rihanna’s Anti, the songstress was recently spotted hitting up a recording studio while in Paris earlier this week, leading fans to panic over rumors suggesting that Rihanna has yet to complete her eighth studio album despite her “Anti World Tour” kicking off at the end of February.

While Rihanna has yet to confirm an official release date for Anti, the “FourFiveSeconds” singer has only one room remaining on her promotional “ANTIdiaRy” collaboration with Samsung, further fueling speculation that Rihanna’s participation in the Grammy Awards may “unlock” the eighth and final room of the “ANTIdiaRy” experience.
In addition to working on their own respective projects, Drake and Rihanna have also sparked rumors of an upcoming collaboration after several snippets of the duo’s alleged track, “Work,” appeared on Twitter last month. Adding fuel to the collaboration rumors, a casting call for the duo’s music video shoot surfaced just days before fans were able to snap photos of the duo’s mysterious music video set in L.A., Vibe reports.
Given the growing excitement surrounding Drake and Rihanna’s upcoming collaboration, some fans are holding out hope that the former couple will reunite on the Grammy stage to debut their new song, “Work.” Rihanna and Drake previously performed their collaborative hit, “What’s My Name?” at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2011; it’s possible the duo could be teaming up for a surprise performance at this year’s awards show while building anticipation for the release of their new albums.
