Maci Bookout & Taylor McKinney Are Engaged: ‘Teen Mom OG’ Confirms News With Proposal Photo
Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney are engaged. During a recent episode of Teen Mom OG, the reality star and mother of two expressed interest in walking down the aisle with McKinney and recently, he popped the question.
“I honestly don’t think it has actually ‘hit’ me yet,” Maci Bookout told MTV News shortly after the proposal. “But I am very excited and feel super blessed that I get to marry Taylor. He’s an amazing man and dad.”

During an episode of Teen Mom OG earlier this month, Maci Bookout was seen chatting with McKinney and friends, and one of her friends wanted to know when she and her boyfriend of over two years would be taking the next step in their relationship. However, at the time, McKinney hinted that the mounting pressure was overwhelming, and didn’t appear to be ready to propose. Luckily for Maci Bookout, he since changed his mind and during a trip to Los Angeles, he got down on one knee and made their relationship official.
“We were on Venice Beach!” Maci Bookout revealed. “He (and MTV) had told me that I was going to do an interview for MTV.com, which turned out to be a complete trick just to get me to the beach for him to ask me.”
Along with Maci Bookout, several of her Teen Mom OG co-stars, including Farrah Abraham, Catelynn Lowell, Tyler Baltierra and Amber Portwood, recently traveled to the east coast, where they filmed scenes for the upcoming reunion special.
“When he asked me to marry him, I was in complete shock. I couldn’t believe that it was actually happening, and to be honest, I couldn’t believe that he had pulled it off without me figuring it out … because I usually know everything!” Maci Bookout explained.
As for how her oldest child, son Bentley, whose father is Maci Bookout’s ex-boyfriend, Ryan Edwards, felt about her and McKinney’s engagement, the reality star revealed he was “shocked and emotional” after hearing the news.
“He actually teared up a little bit — I think his exact words were that he was just so happy that T-Money was finally going to be his step dad,” Maci Bookout recalled.
Not surprisingly, Maci Bookout’s son will play a big part in her and McKinney’s upcoming wedding. In fact, he will not only be in attendance, but also be serving as McKinney’s “mini” best man.
“[I’m] not sure he is aware of the responsibilities of a best man, but I’m sure he will do just fine!” Maci Bookout said. And as for her youngest child, 8-month old Jayde Carter, she added, “Jayde will definitely have a part in our wedding too — it’s just a matter of figuring it out considering she is still so young. I am excited to have them share this day with us.”

After years of dating, Maci Bookout and McKinney revealed they were expecting a child together during the first season of Teen Mom OG, which is a reboot of the hit series Teen Mom, which came to an end in 2012. Then, in May of last year, Jayde arrived a couple of weeks early.
While Maci Bookout has two children, one with McKinney and one with Edwards, Jayde was the very first child for McKinney.
