WWE Legend Jake Roberts Wants To Help Cure NFL Star Johnny Manziel Of Addiction

Jake Roberts wants to help cure Johnny Manziel of his addiction to trouble and become the superstar quarterback in the NFL like he’s supposed to be, according to Rolling Stones.

Anyone that follows the NFL, or just reads the news, already knows that Johnny Manziel is always featured in national headlines, and it is usually for all of the wrong things possible.

After two seasons with the Cleveland Browns, Johnny Manziel has failed to capture the starting quarterback job, even though the team has given the Texas A&M star plenty of chances.

When Mike Pettine had no choice but to give Johnny Manziel the starting quarterback position, the former Texas A&Ms star decided it was better to go partying with friends in Austin.

Weeks later, Johnny Manziel was spotted gambling and partying in Las Vegas instead of checking in with the Cleveland Browns medical staff to check up on the progress of his injury.

There’s a very good chance that the Cleveland Browns decide to completely wash their hands of the Johnny Manziel situation in the next few weeks by releasing him from his contract.

The odds of another NFL team being willing to give Johnny Manziel another chance might be extremely slim, even though his athleticism and potential can be very appealing to teams.

Jake Roberts, whose nickname is The Snake, knows what it is like to be a guy who disappoints others and blows through multiple chances that he is given to turn his life back around.

Back when he was with the World Wrestling Federation, Jake Roberts showed a lot of promise since he was a brilliant talker and knew ring psychology better than most performers.

Many expected Jake Roberts to some day become a world heavyweight champion, but WWF officials never had the confidence to pull the trigger because they did not have trust in him.

When Jake Roberts left World Wrestling Federation due to a dispute with Vince McMahon, he managed to get jobs in other promotions such as WCW, AAA, New Japan and SMW.

Somewhere along the way, Jake Roberts had seemingly found the way and became a born again Christian, which was enough to convince Vince McMahon to bring him back to WWE.

When Vince McMahon ordered Jake Roberts to transition from an in ring performer to a backstage official, Roberts did not take that well and resorted to his old addictions to cope.

While his career was good enough to have earned him an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, Jake Roberts would admit that it could have been something even more legendary.

To promote his new documentary, The Resurrection of Jake the Snake, Jake Roberts did an interview with a podcast show called Jobbing Out podcast with Aaron Oster this week.

During the conversation, Jake Roberts publicly reached out to Johnny Manziel and told the NFL star that he understands what Manziel is currently going through in his life and career.

Jake Roberts offered to help Johnny Manziel for free, which is a brilliant public relations move because Roberts knew that the mainstream media would surely catch on to the story.

Since Diamond Dallas Page took time out of his life to help save Jake Roberts, The Snake wants to pay it forward by helping Johnny Manziel to turn both his life and career around.

While a lot of people are drawn to controversy and drama, there are still a good amount of people that would love to see a feel good story where Johnny Manziel becomes an NFL star.

Jake Roberts wants to make that happen for Johnny Manziel.
