Jennifer Aniston has become obsessed with the Taco Cleanse. Fascinated as soon as she heard the name of the New Year’s first viral diet, Jennifer immediately wanted to know more. And now Aniston has hopped on the Taco Cleanse bandwagon with all of those who have turned the diet into a popular food plan, reported Yahoo Food.
Initially, Jennifer was chatting with Yahoo Food regarding diets in general, but when the dialogue focused on diet fads, and Aniston learned of the Taco Cleanse, she immediately wanted to learn more.
Entitled The Taco Cleanse: The Tortilla-Based Diet Proven to Change Your Life, the popular book describes how to replace every meal with a taco. Although the cookbook is witty, authored by self-dubbed “taco scientists” Wes Allison, Stephanie Bogdanich, Molly R. Frisinger, and Jessica Morris, the vegan diet resulted in weight loss for its authors and has become popular among its growing number of advocates who are following the diet’s instructions to nosh tacos for 30 days.
Jennifer proclaimed herself fascinated about the premise, and Aniston added that she felt it has potential.
“I’m riveted [by the Taco Cleanse]. I can see that being something,” exclaimed the actress.
Claims made by the authors range from having renewed enthusiasm for the morning with its promise of a breakfast taco, and they also contend that the taco cleanse has holistic health qualities of an artist kind.
“Your chakras will become realigned into an optimal taco pattern,” vow the Taco Cleanse creators. “Finally, there is a new diet plan that will have you actually enjoying life.”
But Jennifer was hesitant initially about the nutritional value of the ingredients in tacos while admitting her fascination.
“Isn’t the corn tortilla, like, not that good for you? It’s interesting,” mused Aniston.
However, she finally took the plunge.
“I already ordered the [Taco Cleanse] book on Amazon!” revealed the actress.
Jennifer has been a Mexican food lover for years, but it’s not yet known whether Aniston will actually follow the Taco Cleanse diet for the full 30 days. But whether or not the actress turns into into a celebrity diet trend for 2016, Texans are already happily on board the Taco Cleanse crusade, reported CBS News.
Can Vegan Tacos Cleanse You & Boost Weight Loss In 30 Days?
Those who want to follow it need to read the directions, because it’s not all about meat, sour cream, and cheese. Offering vegan recipes, the taco cleanse book emphasizes DIY versions of the popular food item at every meal for 30 days. And by counting calories and emphasizing the healthy twist on the taco, weight loss can result, say taco cleanse fans.
“If you can wrap wonderful vegetables and beans — beans are so good for us — if you can wrap those inside of a lettuce leaf or maybe a corn tortilla, I think that is a great option,” opined Jennifer Herriott, assistant director of the Community Health Division at the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District. “Cilantro, beans, chopped up onions, tomatoes. Those can all be wonderful things you can put inside of a taco.”
Although weight-loss cleanse diets abound, those who love tacos feel that this twist on the usual beverage-based cleanses makes it easier to follow and swallow those tacos for every meal for 30 days.
The Taco Cleanse book itself includes vegan recipes for putting inside the tacos, five tortilla recipes, and various fixings, according to People.
And for those baffled by how eating tacos could be regarded as a cleanse, the authors have explanations.
“A taco consumed within three hours of waking, colloquially called a ‘breakfast taco,’ has been anecdotally proven to erase the ill effects of the previous night’s toxic indulgence. A midday taco frequently results in more positive physical effects. The spicy taco consumed prior to sleep stimulates the nocturnal imagination and has been used by taco spiritualists to induce prophetic dreams.”
