Ariana Grande is gearing up for her latest endorsement as a VIVAGLAM girl with MAC Cosmetics and revealing all when it comes to her “good girl” and “bad girl” persona.
Grande recently spoke out about her VIVAGLAM collection in an interview with Glamour UK, where she got pretty candid about collaborating with the world famous makeup brand, and helping the world in the process.
“The most important thing about VIVAGLAM is that every penny goes to people affected by HIV and AIDS, thanks to the Mac AIDS Fund,” Ariana said. “A lot of people in this day and age think that it’s no longer a big deal. But it’s still a humongous problem — there are about 37 million people living with HIV and AIDS in the world.”
According to People, Ariana has created two different lip products in association with MAC, which are being described as “a moody matte plum lipstick and a shimmery, lacquer-like pink lipglass.”

“The idea behind the two shades is ‘good girl by day and bad girl by night’,” Grande said of the collection to Glamour UK. “People are always trying to label me as a good girl or bad girl and I’m like, ‘we all have a naughty side and sweet side’ and I believe we should be able to play up both of them.”
Ariana also revealed in the interview that she was “excited and honored and nervous and thrilled” to become the latest VIVAGLAM celebrity to join the campaign.
Though Ariana and the makeup company have been playing it pretty coy when it comes to the official release date of Grande’s upcoming VIVAGLAM collection, an eagle-eyed Ariana fan recently took to Instagram to reveal the big day the much-anticipated collection will finally be hitting the shelves.
Eagle eyed Ariana fan @arianagrandeupdatesx took to Instagram on January 4 to reveal an official ad for the collection, which is featured on the back cover of the most recent issue of Seventeen and announced that Grande’s makeup range will be available online on January 19 and in U.S. stores on January 21.
The brand, which is a favorite of celebrities and makeup artists around the world, annually introduces new pieces to the VIVAGLAM collection by teaming up with a number of famous stars who are then invited to create their own shades for general sale. Past VIVAGLAM girls have included Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, and Lady Gaga.
Ariana was officially announced as MAC’s latest VIVAGLAM ambassador back in October, 2015, when the luxury makeup brand made the big announcement about her latest non-musical project on social media.
Posting a screenshot of MAC’s Twitter announcement, which read in part “Secret’s out: Introducing our 2016 #VIVAGLAM girl, @ArianaGrande! Welcome to the MAC family,” on her official Instagram page, Grande took to social media herself to post a sweet message of her own to the makeup brand.
“I am beyond honored and excited to be working with a brand that stands for and always has stood for EQUALITY,” Ariana Grande wrote alongside the screenshot. “My lipstick & gloss will be available in January and EVERY PENNY goes to people effected by HIV & AIDS. I have loved & supported @maccosmetics ever since I was a little girl walking through the mall and saw your first #VIVAGLAM girl in the window @rupaulofficial. I’m so honored!!! [sic],” Grande wrote.
Ariana Grande’s all-new MAC team-up is just the latest in an expanding world of beauty products for the popular “Focus” singer. Grande also released her own perfume, named ARI by Ariana Grande, in September, 2015.
