Rihanna ‘Anti’ Collaboration Rumors: Drake, Eminem, Lady Gaga, And More To Appear On New Album?

Rihanna may be keeping any news regarding the status of her highly anticipated Anti album under wraps, but who can fans expect to see make an appearance on Rihanna’s eighth studio album?

With Rihanna’s eighth studio album having sparked release rumors as far back as 2014, it’s not surprising that several of the industry’s biggest names have been speculated to appear as a guest feature on Rihanna’s new album. While no official word from either Rihanna or Roc Nation currently exists in regard to the collaboration rumors, several artists have dropped some not-so-subtle hints on social media and in interviews about their rumored involvement in Anti.

One of the most recent Rihanna collaboration rumors surfaced earlier this week after sources close to the “FourFiveSeconds” singer alleged that Young Thug would be making an appearance on Anti.

Just two months after the duo were photographed working together in the studio, an alleged insider close to Rihanna explained to Urban Islandz that the duo “recorded a song recently that has been chosen to be on the album.”

The source further noted, “The song is dope and fans will have a complete album sooner than later although there is still no official release date. It will [be] worth the wait.”

In addition, rumors of a potential guest feature from Drake on Rihanna’s new album sent fans into a frenzy last month after a video snippet of Drake’s vocals appeared on Twitter.

DJ Akademiks took to the social media site to share what was originally rumored to be a new preview of Drake’s imminent Views From the 6 album, however, was later determined to either be a sample for Rihanna or indicative of a new collaboration between the former couple.

“Remember that Snippet I tweeted out with Drake singing?? Turns out roc nation on behalf of Rihanna sent over notice to remove..Us ur brain,” DJ Akademiks explained to his fans after being forced to remove the video clip from Twitter.

DJ Akademiks went on to speculate that Drake, who has teamed up with Rihanna in the past for “What’s My Name?” and “Take Care,” will either likely be featured on Rihanna’s new album or is helping to create references for the songstress.

“Basically, that song either not on Views or a collab wit Rihanna but could even be a reference for Rihanna..Who Knows..,” Akademiks revealed.

Rihanna also seemingly hinted at a few potential collaborations on her “ANTIdiaRY” website after fans discovered that the voices of Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Big Sean, and The Weeknd can be heard in “The Studio” section of Rihanna’s “ANTIdiaRy” experience.

The alleged voice recordings of the famous artists instantly sparked collaboration rumors on social media, prompting fans to gush over the possibility of a Lady Gaga or Beyoncé feature for Anti.

One fan took to Twitter to explain, “Ok Beyoncé and lady gaga’s voice are on this and I’m not ok,” while another adds, “The thought of Rihanna ft. Lady Gaga is just…No words can describe!”

Another heavily speculated collab for Anti includes a feature from Travis Scott, who has previously sparked romance rumors with Rihanna and also serves as a producer for the highly anticipated project. Given the fact that Travis Scott will also be featured as a guest on Rihanna’s upcoming “Anti World Tour” and helped the songstress to pen her latest single “B**** Better Have My Money,” it’s widely believed that a Rihanna and Travis Scott track will make the final cut on the album.

Similarly, Kanye West, who teamed up with Rihanna and Paul McCartney for their 2015 hit “FourFiveSeconds,” serves as an executive producer for Rihanna’s upcoming album and has noted in previous interviews that he is playing a “major role” in the creation of Anti, Fuse reports.

While Ne-Yo, Charli XCX, and Sia have all opened up about their involvement in writing some potential hits for Rihanna’s new album, it’s unclear whether or not their contributions to Anti will come in the form of a collaboration or writing credits.

Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine is also heavily anticipated to appear on Rihanna’s album, especially since Welch previously divulged that Rihanna has a new song that features “one of [her] favorite songs from Ceremonials,” Fuse reports.

The rumors were further fueled when a sample of “Only If For A Night” appeared in one of Rihanna’s new video advertisements for Dior, seemingly confirming speculation that a Florence and Rihanna collaboration will make the cut onto Anti.

Fans are also holding out hope that Rihanna and Eminem will team up for another epic collaboration, especially given the duo’s past success with tracks like “Love the Way You Lie,” “Love the Way You Lie (Part II),” “Numb,” and “The Monster” coupled with the hype surrounding their 2014 co-headlined “The Monster Tour.”

Lastly, Chris Brown has sparked rumors of a potential appearance on Rihanna’s new album following his decision to include Rihanna as a feature on his Before the Party mixtape that dropped in November. The duo’s track, “Counterfeit,” instantly ignited speculation that the former couple had been back in the studio following their previous collaboration on Rihanna’s Unapologetic album with “Nobody’s Business,” however, it was later determined that Rihanna’s feature on Brown’s surprise mixtape was not a recent recording.
