Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice is, arguably, the most eagerly anticipated blockbuster of 2016.
Sure, Captain America: Civil War might have something to say about that, but the thought of the two iconic DC titans finally going toe-to-toe on the big screen is enough to make comic and movie fans weep with excitement.
That means that anything related to Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice is eagerly fawned over and then meticulously analysed by cinephiles. Which is why the latest, and very detailed synopsis, for Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice will be a great read for them.
This synopsis has been released by VUE Cinema, which is a cinema chain in the United Kingdom, ahead of Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice’s release date of 25th March, 2016. You can read the latest synopsis in all of its glory below right now.
“Following his titanic struggle against General Zod, Metropolis has been razed to the ground and Superman is the most controversial figure in the world. While for many he is still an emblem of hope, a growing number of people consider him a threat to humanity, seeking justice for the chaos he has brought to Earth.
As far as Bruce Wayne is concerned, Superman is clearly a danger to society. He fears for the future of the world with such a reckless power left ungoverned, and so he dons his mask and cape to right Superman’s wrongs.
The rivalry between them is furious, fuelled by bitterness and vengeance, and nothing can dissuade them from waging this war. However, a dark new threat arises in the form of a third man: one who has a power greater than either of them to endanger the world and cause total destruction.
The superhero stand-off that the world has been waiting for is finally arriving in cinemas, with an all-star cast bringing to life the characters we all love.
Zack Snyder (300) returns as director following the huge success of 2013’s Man of Steel, along with Henry Cavill (The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) in the role of Superman.
Also starring Ben Affleck (Gone Girl) as Batman, Amy Adams (American Hustle) as Lois Lane, and Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 7) as Wonder Woman, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is an explosive, action-packed blockbuster that is sure to thrill DC fans everywhere.”
First things first, it should be noted that while Gal Gadot does actually appear in Furious 7, her character of Gisele Yashar only does so in a photograph and through the use of archive footage. She did shoot a cameo, but it was ultimately deleted.
However, that’s probably only a minor blight, as the above synopsis teases about Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne/Batman and Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent/Superman battle, while also alluding to Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor.
The first trailers for Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice showed us a few glimpses of Batman and Superman’s fight. But then the latest trailer, which aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live! back in December, confirmed that the legendary Superman foe Doomsday would be included in the blockbuster, something that hadn’t been announced by Warner Bros.
We also got a great look at Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman lining up to tackle the huge villain, who in the trailer appears to have been created by Lex Luthor using the body of Michael Shannon’s General Zod.
Some fans criticised the trailer for showing off to much of Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice. However that’s not expected to reduce the excitement ahead of Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, which is due to be released on Friday March 25th, 2016.
