Miranda Lambert Under Fire For Christmas Fur, Dating And ‘In Love’ With Boyfriend Anderson East?
Miranda Lambert is facing controversy after being spotted in a fur over the Christmas holiday. On Saturday, as reported by UPI on December 28, Miranda Lambert revealed to fans on Instagram that she had received two family heirlooms from her grandmother, both of which were a part of her fur collection.
In the caption of her Instagram photo, which featured her wearing one of her furs, Miranda Lambert wrote, “‘I’m so fancy… You already know’ my Nonny gave me two of her fur coats! I definitely know where I got my love for DIAMONDS, FUR and WHISKEY! #familytradition #grandmastreasures #besthandmedownever #wandathewanderer #bringitwinter.”

According to a second report by Entertainment Tonight Online, Miranda Lambert’s fans and followers immediately responded to the fur photo, writing “shame,” “this is extremely disappointing,” and “hate fur [unless] it’s on the animal that grew it.”
Another fan asked, “Would you skin your dogs and wear their fur too?”
PETA also didn’t take the photo too well and issued the following statement to Entertainment Tonight Online, via Vice President Lisa Lange.
“We had higher hopes. Since [Miranda Lambert] rescues dogs, we always thought she could see that whether fur comes from a mink, a fox, or a dog or a cat in China, the source is always a gentle animal who did not want to die.”
Miranda Lambert’s fur controversy came just prior to news of her alleged new romance with Alabama-born singer Anderson East. Nearly six months after her divorce from Blake Shelton, Us Weekly linked Miranda Lambert to East, claiming the two have been dating for about one month.
“They are really enjoying each other’s company,” a source close to Miranda Lambert told the magazine, with a second source confirming the new couple is “spending New Year’s together.”
“She couldn’t have picked a better dude to have fun with,” added a friend of East. “Anderson is the coolest guy.”
A separate report, shared by Morning Ledger on December 29, added that Miranda Lambert was “in love” with Anderson.

Miranda Lambert and Shelton had been married for four years when they split in July. And while Shelton has continuously made headlines with his new romance with Gwen Stefani, Miranda Lambert seems to have waited a bit longer to date. Although Miranda Lambert has been linked to Sam Hunt since October, it’s hard to say whether or not there was any truth to the alleged hookup, which was reportedly taking place ahead of their 2016 tour.
In an odd twist, Hunt was featured on the finale episode of The Voice, which starred Miranda Lambert’s former partner and Stefani, earlier this month as rumors regarding his and Lambert’s alleged romance continued to swirl.
In early October, just a few months after Miranda Lambert’s divorce from Shelton was confirmed, OK! Magazine, via Celeb Dirty Laundry, claimed the two were secretly dating, and couldn’t help but flirt with one another as they prepared for their tour, which begins this March.
As Miranda Lambert reportedly enjoys her new romance with East, who is just 27-years-old, her ex-husband and his new lady are doing the same. However, when it comes to Shelton and Stefani, their affection for one another has been no secret by any means. While Miranda Lambert and East have yet to be spotted together publicly, Shelton and Stefani are photographed often, and at times, they have been seen kissing and holding hands.
