Connecticut Mom Filmed Herself Abusing Baby, Sent Threatening Texts and Video to Child’s Father

A young Connecticut mother has been arrested and charged with several counts related to abusive treatment of a child after a horrifying campaign in which she engaged to torment the father of her baby.

20-year-old Kellie Park has been charged with assault, intentional cruelty, risk of injury to a child, and threatening after police say the father of her small daughter reported receiving a series of text messages and videos showing the woman both physically and psychologically harming the child in order to inflict distress on him.

Police say former boyfriend of Park, Erick Vece, received more than 50 transmissions from the allegedly abusive young mom on June 9th, describing a litany of abuse carried out on the 10-month-old baby girl. In one video, a baby gate falls on the little girl, and Park allegedly said to the child trapped beneath, “don’t you get it? Your father doesn’t care, so guess what, I’m not gonna care.”

In another clip, a police affidavit says that Park is seen pushing the child with her feet, telling the baby she “makes [Park’s] life miserable and that [Park] hates her.”

ABC describes more of the alleged abuse, explaining:

“Park texted Vece “ill [expletive] break her face,” and “call the cops im. Sending nice pictures haaha,” telling him, “I love abusing this kid,” according to the police affidavit… The child “appears terrified and traumatized,” and “appears to be crying in pain in some of the videos as a result [ of her mother’s] actions,” according to the police affidavit.”

Park, who had previously petitioned the court for child support, was arrested on June 20th and is being held in a local correctional facility.
