Willow Smith: Tongue Piercing Photo Was Fake

Willow Smith, the 11-year-old daughter of Will Smith and Jada-Pinkett-Smith, got the world talking this morning when she showed off her tongue piercing on Instagram.
Smith, who recently released the hit single ”Whip My Hair,” has made headlines before for crazy hairstyles (or shaving her head completely) and unique wardrobe choices. So most people believed that the tongue piercing photo was real.
When Willow released “Whip My Hair,” the 11-year-old said that she hoped the song inspired girls to embrace the way they looked.
Willow said:
‘It’s gonna make them feel like they have control over their lives and can do what they want to do and be the person they want to be.”
But Twitter wasn’t happy with Willow’s statement of individuality. The micro-blogging site lit up this morning with comments about the photo and “Willow Smith” was soon a trending topic.
One user wrote:
“That awkward moment when you find out Willow Smith has a tongue piercing. She’s 11.”
Another added:
“Willow smith has a tongue piercing at 11? Will and Jada failed.”
After the photo stirred up some controversy, the 11-year-old added a little disclaimer to the Instagram photo.

Willow wrote:
“It’s fake… Sorry.”
Are you glad that Willow Smith’s tongue piercing is fake? Is 11-years-old too young to get a body piercing?

What a raucously funny joke. What people will do for publicity.

We must not forget though that Willow is the product of fame and fortune, and for those lucky ones who fall under that category, different rules apply.
Willow can shave her head, strut her stuff and pierce her entire face, because at the end of the day she’s Will Smith’s daughter and therefore a hawt bixch.

The only reason I'm glad it's fake is that people will stop bugging out. But if her parents actually let her get a tongue piercing, how would that be any of our business? Besides, it's not like a tattoo that will last forever. If she didn't like it anymore, she could let it close. Not a big deal.
