‘New Girl’ Finally Premieres New Promo For Season 5, Hannah Simone Teases Her Shower Scene With Megan Fox [Watch]

It may have been long in coming, but the sixth season of New Girl is just around the corner. In addition to the return of Jess (Zooey Deschanel), Cece (Hannah Simone), Schmidt (Max Greenfield), and the rest of the characters from the hit show, a new promo video released by E! Online revealed that Season 5 will be introducing a few new faces to the mix.

Season 4 concluded with Schmidt and Cece finally planning on marrying each other. With that in mind, the upcoming season is set to center on all of the planning that goes into the couple’s wedding, including finding the right dress, parties, and, of course, family introductions.

Speaking of finding the perfect dress, Simone recently sat down with Bustle and explained how the dress episode featured one of her favorite scenes in the entire season. Apparently, the funniest thing about the episode centered on the fact that Jess is unable to help Cece in her quest to find her ultimate wedding dress.

“There actually is an episode that we shot where they go to try to find the perfect wedding dress,” she explained. “It’s Cece and Winston… and it was one of the funniest things to shoot in the entire world. Jake Johnson was directing, who plays Nick Miller on the show, so that was a really fun episode.”

In the midst of all of these wedding-related events, the promo also reveals that Fred Armisen will be making a cameo as a potential new roommate while Jess is off performing jury duty. Although it is already known that Megan Fox will land the spot as Cece’s temporary roommate, Armisen has a hilarious cameo complete with a wig and glasses.

Speaking of Fox joining the show, People is reporting that the actress has had little problems making herself at home with her fellow co-stars. Apparently, this includes filming a hot and steamy shower scene with Simone.

“[Megan] and I got to do a lot of work together against the boys, which is always fun and then by the end of the episode, they threw us in the shower together,” Simone revealed. “Megan’s character and my character have a romantic history.”

The romantic element between Fox and Simone has an obvious effect on Schmidt, who goes “into a massive spiral,” Simone stated. “He doesn’t think that’s hot or exciting. It’s just like, ‘Oh my God. Panic attack.’ So that was really fun.”

As far as Fox is concerned, the actress added that she has had a great time filming with the cast of New Girl.

“I’ve had fun from day one,” she told People. “I wasn’t sure how it was going to be because when you walk on to somebody else’s set, a tone is already in place, and you never know how you’re going to fit into that.”

Fox is set to be introduced on the show while Deschanel takes her maternity leave. According to Entertainment Weekly, Fox is set to play a character named Reagan in the new season. In addition to the kind words from Fox, it appears as though her co-stars had an equally fun time with her on the show.

“It has been a very pleasant surprise,” Jake Johnson shared. “She’s also ego-less in a way, that doesn’t mean she’s not confident, but she doesn’t bring any extra stuff to a set. Without having known her personally at all that was a very welcomed thing to see, and our cast and crew have all really appreciated it.”
