Kate Middleton Shares Adorable New Photos Of Princess Charlotte: See Them Here! [Video]

Kensington Palace released new photos of Princess Charlotte taken by none other than mum, Kate Middleton. Although the adorable photos were not originally meant to be released, Kate was so happy with how they turned out, she decided to release the photos of Princess Charlotte as a thank you to the media and public, reported the Daily Mail.

In the sweet photos, the toddler wears a pink cardigan and sports a thick head of brown hair, just like Kate. In one snap Middleton took, the little princess smiles at a toy dog. Her dark hair stands in contrast to Prince George, who inherited William’s golden tresses.

Princess Charlotte also wears a floral print dress with a white frilled collar and poses on a green and white checked chair. In their statement to the media, Kensington Palace did not mention the designer of the child’s clothing, and according to the Daily Mail, Kate Middleton and Prince William do not wish to release the information.

Middleton originally intended the photos to be just for the family, but was so pleased with how they turned out that she graciously decided to release the photos for the British media and public as a special thank you for allowing the royal family privacy. Both Kate and William have said they wish to give their children as normal of an upbringing as possible, reported the Daily Mail.

According to a royal aid, who spoke to the Daily Mail, Kate Middleton and Prince William will continue to release more photos of Princess Charlotte because they are “very grateful for the support they have received when it comes to their children.” The little girl is reportedly a “little joy of heaven,” according to William, and is quite ladylike compared to her brother, who is well-known to be “boisterous.”

The palace released two photos, both of which were taken by Kate Middleton at Anmer Hall, the family’s Norfolk home, in early November, according to the Daily Mail.

Kensington Palace said in a statement that Kate and William “are delighted to be able to share two new photographs of Princess Charlotte.” The statement confirmed that the photos were indeed taken by Middleton “in early November at their home in Norfolk.”

While Kate and William “continue to receive warm messages about Princess Charlotte from all around the world,” the happy parents said in a statement that “they hope that everyone enjoys these lovely photos as much as they do,” reports the Daily Mail.

This is the first time Kate Middleton has released pics of Princess Charlotte since July, when the infant was christened. When Princess Charlotte was christened, Kate and William invited the public and media to watch the royal family walk to the church at the Sandringham, which is the Queen’s private estate in Norfolk.

The public first got a glimpse of Princess Charlotte after her May 2 birth on the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, West London. The adorable infant was named Charlotte Elizabeth Diana in honor of William’s grandmother, the Queen, and late mother Diana, Princess of Wales, reported the Daily Mail.

As a special thank you to the hospital which helped both Princess Charlotte and Prince George enter the world, Kate Middleton is backing St. Mary’s Hospital in a bid to raise money to improve their children’s intensive care unit, reported People.

The hospital hopes to raise $3 million toward a total goal of $15 million in their More Smiles Appeal campaign. The hospital will improve and expand the unit, and Middleton has thrown her royal support behind the mission.

In a statement released to the press, Kate Middleton said that the “thought of your child in an intensive care unit is harrowing for any parent.”

According to People, the hospital has had to turn down families due to space restrictions, and the “commitment to expand and transform the Children’s Intensive Care Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital will vitally guarantee more space to treat more children and support more families,” Kate reveals in her statement.

The Duchess also said that as “someone who was so brilliantly cared for by St. Mary’s,” Kate is “delighted” to support the campaign, and “commend[s] the important work of all those involved in the project.”

The mission will allow the hospital to service 200 more patients each year. With Kate Middleton backing the campaign, the new facility will feature improved equipment, a dedicated parents room, and 15 extra beds.

In a statement, Dr. Simon Nadel, Children’s Intensive Care Unit consultant, said the hospital is “most grateful” for Kate Middleton’s support and “warm wishes.”
