‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Character Surprises, But For How Long?

The Walking Dead fans were overjoyed on Sunday night to find out that fan favorite character Glenn Rhee had survived the walker attack by rolling under the nearby dumpster and waiting out the herd of zombies. However, did writers save Glenn only to break our hearts and kill him in the season finale?

Zap 2 It reports that now that we know Glenn is alive and, well, he’s in danger yet again. While fans all over rejoiced at the sight of Glenn surviving yet another life threatening situation, others can’t help but wonder if this means he will actually suffer his comic book fate and be killed by super villain Negan, who is set to be introduced in The Walking Dead Season 6 finale.

Recently, leaked footage of The Walking Dead Season 6 finale was posted online, and fans went crazy with images that seemed to show Negan, played by actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, (who played the beloved Denny on Grey’s Anatomy!) as he seems to be swinging his weapon of choice, a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire and named Lucille, at a member of Rick’s group. The crushing blow is sure to kill someone, but who?

This is scary for Glenn fans, as now he’s back in the running to be killed by Negan. Would The Walking Dead really do this to its fans? Seemingly kill Glenn only to reveal he’s alive, and then have him die a brutal death at the hands of Negan in the season finale 9 episodes later?

The Walking Dead is progressing in true comic book fashion with Maggie’s pregnancy. It looks like Glenn and Maggie may even take in Enid as their adopted daughter, much like they did for Sophia in the comic books after Carol’s death. Although Carol is still alive and Sophia dead in the TV series, Enid would be a good substitute. Hopefully, the show will also substitute Glenn for another character when it comes to Negan’s big moment in the season finale.

Rumors have been flying that other characters may take Glenn’s place, as the TV show sometimes likes to switch up character deaths, such as Hershel’s beheading, which happened to Tyreese in the comic series. Some of the characters speculated to be taking Glenn’s place at the end of Negan’s bat are Daryl, (Please, no!) Abraham, Morgan, and Aaron.

Meanwhile, Sunday night’s episode is setting up for an epic mid-season finale over the Thanksgiving weekend. The Walking Dead fans will be left speechless and not wanting to wait until February for the show to return to AMC after the big episode.

Spoilers for The Walking Dead mid-season finale are pretty crazy, and reveal that many lives will be changed. Not only will the walkers not be getting in to Alexandria thanks to the tower falling at the end of the most recent episode, but other threats will harm members of Rick’s group.

Reports suggest that while under attack from the huge walker heard, Rick will find Jessie, who currently has Judith. Rick, Jessie, and their children may have to pull the old trick where they smear zombie guts all over themselves and walk among the dead to try and find safety. However, Jessie’s youngest son will begin to get pulled into the herd, and Jessie will refuse to let go of him even though it’s obvious he’s gone. In the midst of trying to save her son, Jessie will also allegedly have a hold on Carl, and refuse to let go as she begins to get pulled in to the group of walkers. Rick will be forced to cut off Jessie’s hand to free Carl from her gasp. This will all happen right in front of Jessie’s older son, Ron, who already had a huge grudge against Rick, who killed his father, and Carl, who tried to steal his girlfriend, Enid.

Ron, who we now know has a gun and bullets, will allegedly then try to shoot Rick, but Carl will step in front of the gun and be shot. Reports suggest that Carl’s Walking Dead comic book fate with then come true, and he’ll lose his eye due to the gunshot!

It’s going to be a wild ride for the rest of The Walking Dead Season 6. Fans won’t want to miss a moment of the drama. Be sure to tune in Sunday nights at 9 p.m. on AMC.
