Justin Bieber’s Wet ‘Sorry’ AMAs 2015 Performance In The Rain Water Slays, Says Twitter [Video]

Justin Bieber got soaking wet during his 2015 AMAs performance, and the “Sorry” finale for the show featured lots of intentional rain. The water from the upper regions of the venue came as a surprise to Bieber fans who didn’t expect Justin to put on a wet t-shirt contest, as People quipped.

Indeed, Bieber pulled a page right out of Taylor Swift’s American Country Music Awards performance when Swift debuted her “Should’ve Said No” song and donned a hoodie and ended up in the rain. After her wet performance, Taylor looked shocked at the welcoming reaction of the crowd. One country singer quipped afterward that he wished he was in the rain with Swift.

Before long, Twitter began blowing up with tweets about Bieber’s performance in the rain. While opinions will always be varied when it comes to a performer as popular as Justin, the general consensus was that Bieber amazed the crowd with his singing and dancing in the rain. Indeed, Bieber looked like he was having fun kicking around in all that water in an unexpected place. And Justin fans likely worried about him slipping or staying safe whilst holding a microphone in all that water.

As the performance of the “Sorry” song ended, one in which Bieber waxed musically and lyrically about whether it’s too late to apologize to a woman he’s missing, Justin took off his hat and his hair got wet in the pouring water as well.

With Gene Autry’s famous “Singing in the Rain” routine still famous from more than 60 years ago, it’s no wonder that Bieber could include a very wet performance to close out the AMAs with a sloshy bang. After all, no other performers needed to mount the stage after Justin got it soaking wet, so all that indoor rain was a fitting tribute.

However, thinking about the California drought, one wonders about water usage limits and all the controversy that has come to the state due to water usage. Reports of the home in Bel Air that used 11.8 million gallons of water in one year, about $90,000 worth of water, were making the rounds, as reported by the Inquisitr. That should leave folks wondering just how much water Justin’s performance used, and if indeed it was recycled for further use.

Before long, videos of Justin’s water performance at the 2015 AMAs should fill up YouTube, but as of this writing, videos are filling up Twitter with Bieber playing in the water.

The video page on Twitter shows lots of video snippets of Justin’s AMAs performance from 2015, with Ariana Grande grooving along to Bieber’s songs as he performed and water came splashing down from above.

All in all, Justin’s water performance got plenty of thumbs up from reviewers tweeting about Bieber’s performance onstage during the 2015 American Music Awards. Apparently, the Microsoft Theater was the place to be to see the Biebs close out the show in a spectacular way on November 22, in Los Angeles, California. With so much water flowing around, one wonders if fans in the front rows got wet or splashed at all during Justin’s performance.

In the end, closing out the 2015 AMAs with Justin singing and dancing in the water is winning rave reviews from fans. There’s no word on how Selena Gomez reacted to Bieber’s performance in the rain, since the duo didn’t arrive together.

Nevertheless, Justin’s acoustic performance is being praised, and Bieber’s Nirvana shirt is being critiqued by Nirvana fans. Loads of photos of Bieber’s wet routine are making it onto social media.
