Sofia Vergara Is Marrying Joe Manganiello This Weekend, The ‘Modern Family’ Star Has All Wedding Details Ready To Go

The day has finally arrived for Sofia Vergara and her handsome fiancé, Joe Manganiello, to say their “I do’s” in front of their family and friends. The wedding is set for Sunday night, November 22, at The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida. They have already arrived in town on Thursday to get ready for their big day.

Details are emerging about what kind of ceremony and celebration the bride and groom will have for their special day. According to ET, Sofia has chosen a wedding dress that has been designed by Zuhair Murad. In fact, it has been rumored that the gown that Vergara will be wearing to walk down the aisle could be that same one that was revealed in the Paris fashion show a few months ago. It will be a secret until pictures become available after the wedding.

The Modern Family star has every detail ready to go. The guest list, which is expected to be around 400, includes her co-stars from the hit ABC show, as well as Jennifer Lopez, and a few other famous faces. According to the Miami Herald, Marc Anthony, Gloria Estefan, and Thalia will be performing. Apparently, cell phones are not invited to the wedding and will be taken away before they are able to walk in the door, even to the parties. This will certainly keep any guest from being tempted to snap a quickie and send it to social media, and will keep the weekend a private affair, which is what Vergara wants for her nuptials.

The actual ceremony is set for 6 p.m. on Sunday, but there are also celebrations ahead of the wedding ceremony. A beach party was said to have been held on Thursday night and another party is on for Friday night. Security is expected to be tight around the area, which will help to keep paparazzi from disturbing their special wedding weekend.

Sofia Vergara admitted that she will not have any traditional bridesmaids; she will just have a flower girl and a “ring boy,” as she calls him. She told Jimmy Kimmel that she wouldn’t be able to pick from all of her friends to be in the wedding party anyway, so it’s a good thing that bridesmaids are not a typical part of a Colombian wedding.

Flowers also make a wedding complete and Sofia spilled some details on what colors she has picked for her flower decorations in an exclusive video for Cover Girl.

“I think flowers make the wedding festive, full of life, and beautiful so I wanted to pick colors that were going to represent what the moment was about for the ceremony. Of course, I wanted colors that are soft and romantic. And for the dinner and dancing, colors will be more festive and with a pop of color.”

She detailed plans to wear a pop of color on her lips to go with her white wedding dress. She told Cover Girl that she will be more of a modern bride instead of a traditional one. It sounds like the Colombian actress will make a gorgeous bride.

Vergara explained that her niece, Claudia, will be wearing a soft dress and will be the one who will help her with her flowers and the train of her long wedding gown during the ceremony. However, she is not calling her a maid of honor or a bridesmaid.

What about the reception afterwards? Sofia Vergara has always bragged about how much she adores cake. Of course, you wouldn’t know that by looking at her, but she mentioned that cake is definitely going to be at the top of her list of desserts.

“Cake is my favorite thing. So the cake table is going to be super special, a big wedding cake and lots of desserts.”

Supposedly, anyone who was not at the wedding festivities will be able to see photos that will reportedly be posted on Monday. Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello look like they are more than ready to tie the knot and become husband and wife. They have been engaged since Christmas day, 2014.
