Is Taylor Swift Moving In With Calvin Harris, Or Is She Still Speaking To Jake Gyllenhaal?
Not a week goes by when Taylor Swift isn’t making headlines for her star-studded romances. Now rumors are swirling that the popstar is either moving in with her current boyfriend or is still on speaking terms with a former flame.
Calvin Harris, 30, and Taylor Swift, 25, have only been dating since February, but some think that the couple will take their relationship to the next level by moving in together. The Scottish DJ was spotted carrying around an Aladdin-style rug in Los Angeles, sparking the rumors that he’s moving in with his famous girlfriend. According to the Mirror, the new home décor comes after reports claimed he was planning on popping the question to Swift with a $1.4 million engagement ring that he picked out.
A source close to the music producer said that Calvin went ring shopping at XIV Karats in Beverly Hills earlier this month.
“He said he wanted something ‘very special’ for Taylor. He was asking about the best cuts and eyed a ring that was $1.4 million. He was clearly eager to get the perfect rock, no matter the cost.”
That sounds very similar to a report that was in Life & Style magazine over the summer. The tabloid said that Harris was planning to propose with a 10 carat Neil Lane diamond ring. He thinks that the bigger is better for his lady.
“Taylor loves chunky rings, so he wants to go big. He’s looking at cushion-cut center stones and is willing to drop at least $500,000.”
But Swift is down with it. Another source told the Hollywood Life that she would say yes in a heartbeat.
“Taylor would love to marry Calvin. She’s already talked about how she would take his name for her personal life. But she’ll always stay Taylor Swift career-wise. Taylor doesn’t think it’s a sure thing, she’s not that cocky, but she has a really good feeling they will end up together. Even though they haven’t been together that long, if he asked her tomorrow, she’d say yes. She’s just so happy with him.”
But now rumors have been swirling that Taylor Swift is still in touch with one of her famous exes, and it’s not Harry Styles. A new report in this week’s OK! Magazine claims that the singer has been making “secret phone calls” to Jake Gyllenhaal. The Southpaw star allegedly ran into Swift’s friend Cara Delevingne and got Swift’s digits from her.
However, another inside source told the Hollywood Life that the tabloid reports are simply not true. In fact, Taylor has been “devoted to Calvin” and her career, both of which have been going on strong for the past year. The source added that Taylor is not the type to dwell on her ex-boyfriends, let alone call them or text them. She has hinted in previous interviews that she cuts ties with all of her exes. Meanwhile, another source told the celebrity gossip blog that Taylor and Calvin are looking forward to their intimate nights together after Taylor’s “1989 World Tour” ends.
Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal started dating in October 2010 after they met on the set of Saturday Night Live. Then in early November, Swift and Gyllenhaal were first spotted at McConnell’s ice cream shop in Big Sur, California. Over the Thanksgiving weekend, Swift and Gyllenhaal famously walked the streets of Nashville, where they looked “happy” and “in love.” The two walked arm in arm with big grins on their faces. The photos were then published by Us Weekly. The two kept their romance going by flying out to see each other until they called it quits in 2011. It’s been rumored that Swift’s last album, Red, is about their short-lived relationship.
