Why Is Gwen Stefani’s New Relationship Super Suspicious?

It has been confirmed recently that former No Doubt lead singer Gwen Stefani is dating her fellow The Voice judge Blake Shelton, but Gavin Rossdale, her former husband, has questions about her relationship with the country singer.

Rossdale is allegedly suspicious over the timing of Stefani and Shelton’s budding relationship since it has not been long since they got divorced. A source revealed that Rossdale thinks that the two formed their relationship on the sets of the reality singing contest The Voice just before Stefani divorced him. He thinks Stefani kept it a secret because she was afraid this might affect their financial settlement issues if she was found out.

The two, who are both part of the judging panel of The Voice, have previously denied rumors they were going out.

The new couple divorced their respective spouses less than a month apart. Shelton, 39, divorced country songstress Miranda Lambert, 31, on July 20, ending their four-year marriage. Stefani, 46, split with Bush front man Rossdale, 50, in August, citing irreconcilable differences.

However, a few days after revealing that she is currently dating her fellow The Voice coach, Stefani is now accusing her ex-husband of cheating on her with their nanny.

She claims that Rossdale’s alleged affair with their nanny sparked their split. Stefani has reportedly saved text messages she found on her husband’s phone to back up her claims. At the height of their divorce, the singers kept mum on the real reason behind their breakup.

A source close to the singer said that the mother of three learned of the affair from the other members of the household staff after the Grammys last winter.

According to Radar, the staff told the singer that Rossdale had been hanging out with the nanny when the kids were not around. Rossdale and the nanny were said to be flirty with each other and would go for long drives together. The insider also added that Stefani also found text messages on her ex-husband’s phone that hinted something was going on between them.

Rossdale allegedly tried to deny it at first but soon confessed. The source said there was nothing that could be done to salvage the couple’s marriage because Stefani had had enough.

Radar did not name the nanny in question, but it was said that she looks like a younger version of the former No Doubt vocalist.

In a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, Stefani said her life “blew up in her face,” referring to Rossdale’s cheating, but she claimed that she is now moving on as she is focused on her career, her business, and her three sons.

Rossdale seemed to be moving on with his own life as well. He is currently working on a new album with his band, reports say.

The singers share three sons namely: Kingston, Zuma, and baby Apollo. Despite their split, the two have never neglected their sons’ welfare, as they are their number one priority.

They may have ended their marriage several months ago, but Rossdale is still wearing his wedding ring.

An insider close to the rocker informed People that the reason the singer is still wearing his wedding band is because he wants to make the kids feel secure amid the separation.

“He wears it for the kids because it makes them feel good,” said the insider.

“There is an ongoing conversation with the boys to make sure they are as happy and comfortable as possible,” a reliable source revealed to People in October. “To both Gwen and Gavin, the boys are their number one priority and concern,” added the source.
