Jennifer Lawrence Reveals Details About Movie With Amy Schumer
It seems like everyone is enamored by Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer’s friendship, and for good reason as it seems like a match made in heaven. Lawrence was the first to reveal that not only are they Hollywood pals, but they’re also writing a comedy together, which will act as a vehicle for them to both star in.
The fandoms practically exploded with this information, and since then people have been clamoring to find out any details about the comedy that will star America’s sweethearts. Now, we have a whole plot thanks to Jennifer Lawrence.

While promoting the last installment of The Hunger Games, Lawrence was asked about Amy Schumer, and she revealed her role in the upcoming comedy. The two will play sisters, and according to Lawrence she’s the sloppy one that doesn’t have her life together.
“Amy, in this movie, she has it very together. It’s her lifelong dream to be a flight attendant. She works at the airport. And I’m a MESS.”
Before the junket, no one quite knew how this friendship came to be. All of a sudden it seemed like the two were talking about each other in the press constantly, having awesome sleepovers, and dancing on Billie Joel’s piano.
Lawrence spoke about how their friendship happened, and it sounds like a true Hollywood story.
“I watched Trainwreck and I was like, ‘Yep, we’re made for each other,’ and then I reached out and everything just happened so quickly. We both have very similar senses of humor, obviously and aren’t afraid, which is a good and bad thing, because I don’t know what our movie will be rated. And we’re both very blunt. So we’ve gotten through a really strenuous process without ever fighting, because we’re both very straightforward.”
When word first got around about the friendship, Schumer tried her best to play the friendship down. She told E!, “We really like each other, but I think the media blew it up. We’re not B.F.F.s. We’re just Fs, but we’re really good Fs. I have B.F.F.s since I was 8 years old so it’ll be tough to uproot them.”
While Lawrence talked about sharing common ground with Schumer, the comedian jokingly said that she feels like “Danny DeVito in the movie Twins” when they hang out. That said, Schumer did pay Lawrence a compliment once it got down to talking about their friendship and creative dynamic.
“Jennifer is a great writer. She doesn’t play by the rules. She can be out there in a really cool way where you thought that you understood a scene and then she’ll just kind of turn it. She’s great.”
They don’t just hang out and work together, but they also seem to be proud of each other’s accomplishments. While Amy Schumer said that she and her sister go see The Hunger Games movies at the midnight showings, when the comedian won her first Emmy awards for Best Sketch Show, Lawrence made sure to make her presence known, even though she wasn’t there. The actress wound up filling Schumer’s hotel room with balloons.

As far as their progress on the screenplay, it’s said that the two are on their third or fourth draft of the project. Aside from the two actresses, it’s not yet known who will star in the movie alongside them, but anything is possible. At this point, we wouldn’t be surprised if their sleepover pals Aziz Ansari and Chris Pratt were involved in some way.
