Adriana Campos Dead In Car Crash — Colombian Actress, Husband Both Killed, Leaving 1-Year-Old Son An Orphan

Colombian actress Adriana Campos and her businessman husband, Carlos Rincon, both died in a car accident on Tuesday.

The 36-year-old television, film, and theater performer’s husband is believed to have been driving the vehicle at the time of the incident. According to Latin Times, they were driving southwest of Colombia’s Department of Antioquia when the accident occurred.

Police have now revealed that Rincon lost control of the vehicle, which resulted in it plunging into the Cauca River, located southwest of Colombia’s Department of Antioquia.

Campos and Rincon then drowned. Adriana Campos and Carlos Rincon’s bodies were ultimately taken out of the water and then transported to a local hospital in Salgar.

At the moment it is unclear how Rincon lost control of the vehicle. However, there have been some claims that the businessman fell asleep while driving.

Even more tragically, Adriana Campos and Carlos Rincon are now survived by their 1-year-old son, Geronimo Rincon Campos, who was born in August, 2014. Geronimo was in the care of his grandmother at the time of the tragic accident.

Adriana Campos previously took to her Twitter and Instagram accounts to upload pictures of herself and Geronimo.

According to Hollywood Life, in 2010, while she was dating her El Clon co-star Mauricio Ochmann, Campos became pregnant with their first child. Unfortunately, she lost the baby due to complications with her pregnancy.

Adriana Campos is a veteran Colombian thespian, having performed in a variety of roles over her 15-year career. Through her glittering career, Campos was nominated for two-time Premios TV y Novelas.

The first of these was in the Best Supporting Actress category for her performances as Nicol Aguilar in the show Vecinos. She then received a second nomination for her work in Bella Calamidades as Pricila Cardona, in the Best Antagonist field.

Adriana Campos worked mostly for the major Colombian television networks: RCN Television and Caracol TV.

Campos, who was born in Chaparral, Colombia, also appeared in other telenovelas too, which included El Clon, Tiempo Final, Victoria, and Sin Retorno. These shows, and Campos’ performances in them, were successfully transported around the world.

Campos’ work wasn’t just restricted to appearances in telenovelas though, as she also appeared in a variety of films, TV series, and theater shows.

Having been raised in Chaparral, Adriana decided to leave her hometown to go to school and pursue her dream of becoming a professional actress. At the age of 21 she made her debut on television, and before long she was getting further roles in television, film, and theater.

In theater, she starred in the likes of Joan Of Arc, The Medea, and Richard III, while she she also starred in the 2006 film Gringo Wedding as well as 2011’s Colombian Postcards.

After marrying businessman Carlos Rincon, Adriana Campos decided to then take a year off her work in order to give birth to Geronimo Rincon Campos.
