Lamar Odom On Khloe Kardashian’s Health Insurance — Khloe Will Divorce Lamar If Odom Does Drugs Again

Khloe may have called off her divorce from Lamar, but that doesn’t mean that Kardashian won’t divorce Odom in a New York minute if Lamar ever does drugs again, so says an updated report from TMZ. Another big reason for dropping the divorce between Khloe and Lamar is that Odom is still on Kardashian’s health insurance policy, and Lamar’s hospital bills could run into the millions of dollars when it’s all said and done.

Kardashian and Odom’s divorce filings were dropped in a manner that the divorce could be un-dismissed if need be. Therefore, Lamar has to really mind his path of sobriety if Odom doesn’t want the divorce from Khloe to become final. According to TMZ, Khloe is fed up with folks who are calling her foolish for dropping her divorce proceedings against Lamar. They point to Odom’s history of drug use and his father’s problems with drugs, and that rap video that Lamar made when he appeared to be high on drugs and bragged to the world about cheating on Khloe. Those major sources of contention between Kardashian and Odom are what led Khloe to seek a divorce against Lamar, even though she expressed her continued love for Odom on shows like Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Dash Dolls.

The divorce between Khloe and Lamar was nearly final when Odom was found at death’s door in the Love Ranch brothel north of Las Vegas, in a state that caused Khloe to rush to his side. As Lamar’s speech improves, Khloe is reportedly right there by his side, from a hospital in Las Vegas to one in Los Angeles as Odom recovers and soaks up the moral support from his wife.

Despite all the backlash over dropping the divorce proceedings, Khloe is very familiar with Lamar’s fight against drugs — a battle that Kardashian helped Odom hide for many years throughout episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, when viewers wondered why Lamar was missing in action for plenty of scenes. As during many of those confessional sessions, Khloe reportedly feels that she’s one of the only folks that Lamar has in his life that can be a stable influence by Odom’s side and help him along on the path to recovery.

With Lamar’s attempts to relaunch his NBA career not yet having experienced success, and plenty of blame going around between Odom’s basketball friends online — some charging others with not helping Lamar enough to get back on the court and in the paint — a move that could’ve led to spiraling depression and drug use — Khloe feels the call to not divorce Lamar.

According to Us Weekly, Khloe’s presence is likely having a positive effect on Lamar’s health, which is improving in small steps. Meanwhile, the whole Kardashian clan is hoping that this rock-bottom experience with drugs will finally shake Odom up enough to help Lamar realize that drugs really are bad and could’ve stolen Odom’s life away from those who love him, including Khloe, his children, and his family. The whole issue of dropping the divorce due to health insurance coverage under the Kardashian policy is being called a minor reason for not divorcing Lamar, because Khloe likely makes enough money to pay for Lamar’s medical bills, if she wanted to do so, without needing medical insurance. The likeliest reason for dropping the divorce was due to pure love.
